I can see what you're talking about here... We have this knack of signing supposedly top quality players for a substantial price, and either they flop instantly, or they never get picked.. shortly afterwards (mainly at the end of the season), they simply get loaned out, or someone signs them permanently, and they become instant gods. Juan Cuadrado since he came to the club in January 2015 was horrendous.. when Juventus season-loaned him, he was a key player in their Serie A success.. ..Chelsea has a curse somewhere!

I don't suppose it matters what sort of contract he gets, or what participation he's guaranteed for next season (first starter or not).. in the long run, it's going to help the younger generation a major deal since we'll still have a man who can inspire them. I'd love to listen to Ruben/JCS/Colkett/Abraham saying that they were able to find their place at the club because of its decision to keep hold of a legend, and be inspired by him.

If he did say that, that's ridiculous! Even Liverpool played their youngsters against us last season, when we'd already won the league and there was nothing for them to play for... I just don't seem to understand why none of our young players get a chance, even in games where it doesn't matter... it's a perfect chance for them to get a Premier League experience (albeit slim)... FFS the Under-21 side have been in better form, and have won more trophies than our senior side this season! Time for Hiddink to open up and take some gambles!! ... in his last game!

There has to be some youth participation in there.. surely. I'd swap Matic for RLC, maybe bring on Matic as a sub!

This is probably going to be a 1-1 draw I reckon! Nothing really to play for... for either teams. Leicester already champions. Chelsea can't finish higher than 9th.. though it would be nice to win to at least finish in the top half of the table!

There used to be a typical pub outside the grounds called The So Bar, which was discontinued in 2011.. I went there after we won the league in 2010 and got myself right in the middle of a chanting session! Good Times! Last time I went to South London was the title parade last year, so I have no idea if there has been any recent changes in the area. I hope there will be, though!

To be fair, I don't know whether to feel satisfied, or subdued with that first half performance. I'm satisfied, yes because we're winning at Anfield against Liverpool, whom I absolutely hate to the bitter core.. and Hazard's getting back to his old self, scoring amazing solo goals. but probably subdued as well because at such a late time in the season, suddenly we're playing like we have character, at a time where it hardly matters because there's nothing at steak. Still.. after the season we've just had.. always nice to finally be on the end of a promising scoreline!

If only we had this type of Eden Hazard all season.. we'd be right up there in the top four! Absolute genius from him!!
