  1. Winners: Barcelona Runners Up: Inter Milan Player to Watch: Sneijder
  2. Totally agree!! I'd rather we had Ivanovic and Bosingwa as right backs, and Ferreira as a third option. We don't need anyone else. Unless Srna plans to be a second choice to Anelka, which isn't really good for him, particularly if he's built as a first choice starter.
  3. Oh yeah I totally forgot about that!! Then instead of him, I would put in either Sturridge or Kalou.. probably Sturridge is the better choice!
  4. I think we can do it this year, I think we have the right players, and the right manager, so why not??
  5. Blackpool have been really good away from home so far, beating Newcastle 2-0 at St James' Park which not many teams have been able to do lately. Hopefully Blackpool won't do what Hercules did to Barcelona yesterday  And I agree with Madmax, I hope Zhirkov can get some playing time under his belt, and hope he can be satisfied with it since he's been linked with a move back to Russia.
  6. This should be an easy one, but we shouldn't take this game lightly, as Petr Cech has said before. This would be my starting XI -- Cech -- -- Ferreira -- Terry © -- Alex -- A.Cole -- Mikel -- -- Essien -- Ramires -- -- Anelka -- Drogba -- Kakuta -- Subs: Hilario, Bruma, Ivanovic, Malouda, Benayoun, Zhirkov, Kalou I think Kakuta should get a start. This is against a minnow side, so he should get some kind of chance to show his abilities. Malouda should maybe come on later in the game, and give us fresh legs down the left side come the end of the game.
  7. I'd like to see Essien be third choice, he has experience being a captain already this season, against Ajax in pre-season. He's commited, is easily a fan's favourite, and it's powerful midfielders like him who make good leaders I reckon. Alternatively, I'd like to see Drogba make third choice
  8. I honestly think it's a blow down the right side because Ferreira is hugely vulnerable down that side at times. I hope Ferreira can prove us wrong though, and he can show his much better approach to the game.
  9. Hopefully, once JT and Lamps are both fit, I can see us winning this game. West Ham haven't made the best of starts to the season, so, hopefully, this won't be a cause of slipping up, this should be straightforward on paper. Also, I hope Ramires can get a chance to play.
  10. If Zhirkov feels confident he can get a place in the team, then he will train harder, and then hopefully we can see the best out of him. Ashley Cole and FloMo are on top form at the moment, and that's what makes me worried about him. He's such a useful player to us I feel. He needs to be given more games.
  11. haven't heard of him to be honest, so it's hard to judge his potential, but it sounds promising if a team like Porto are after him.
  12. would have been Neymar added to that list but he wants to stay in Brazil where footballers like to pull down his shorts
  13. He can, but then there's Anelka to shift in the team, and I reckon Kakuta is being taught to play at right wing as well.
  14. I reckon the reason why we're not spending so much on players at the moment is because there is this 25-man squad rule that the Premier League have introduced, and that alone will reduce spending a hell of a lot I reckon.
  15. Thank God we actually hold on to a decent young defender rather than loaning him out! The club by doing this are finally learning!!
  16. Kazuya Mishima ------------------------------ Zlatan Ibrahimovic
  17. Neymar's been caught with his pants down after a bad decision to stay in Brazil.
  18. best squad in the league that won a double last season and won 6-0 in their first two games of this season
  19. that is a massive blow that Ivanovic is injured!! Such a fucking coinsidence that everyone starts getting injured "after" deadline day! typical!
  20. The only reason I would give for us signing Rodwell would be to increase the number of homegrown players in the squad. But we'll probably be adding the likes of Bruma and van Aanholt (assuming he doesn't go to Sheffield United on loan) so in this case, we don't need him. We have plenty of midfield options anyway I reckon.
  21. Agree with you 100%. I mean, I'm not naming anyone here, but a majority of 'glory hunters' only slag off the players they think don't stand out, whereas with the other squad players that do perform well, they brag about how good they are. Real Supporters back every player in the squad 100% however bad they've played, or however little they are contributing to the team. At the end of the day, it's them that are getting a hefty wage every week, and it's them, that wear the blue shirt week in week out to try and make the club successful.
