  1. okay, maybe I'm over-exaggerating, of course I want Torres to join Chelsea, but I guess I'm all for current form, and not their overall statistics. I just like to see us bringing in players who have good form under their belt. The World Cup brings the best out of players.
  2. I guess that's why Joe Cole left right? Chelsea don't want to pay huge wages for players??
  3. Ancelotti is a 50 carat gold mug, if he doesn't want Aguero!! That's all I'll say
  4. City have more strikers in their team than in a fucking mob! Robinho (probably going to leave), Santa Cruz, Tevez, Bellamy (could go to Spurs?), Jo, Adebayor Out of that, Santa Cruz, Tevez, Jo and Adebayor are rotatable strikers, so they don't need another top striker! Besides, Aguero wants to join a "Champions League" side
  5. ...or both?? Aguero wants to play alongside Torres!! £130 million for the pair... HA!! yeah.. okay!
  6. That's strange! I would have expected him to grab number 14 easy. meh! 10 for Benayoun it is then, if Aguero signs, he will get either 7 or 9 then!
  7. PLEASE ROMAN!! PLEASE SIGN AGUERO He is a fucking mug if he doesn't!! If he wants Chelsea to win the Champions League he wouldn't say no to this..... ANCELOTTI wouldn't say no to this!!! Please Roman, make this shirt a reality!!
  8. shock transfer mark 2? After Benayoun?
  9. Yeah, and in this case, Sneijder wants to stay with Inter, so we don't have much of a chance with him. oh and by the way, Man United have denied their approach for him, so what does that tell you?? The Article in the paper was just a "column filler"??
  10. yeah I agree! It has a very "African" look to it, the way those hoops are done!
  11. The only negotiable bid that could work, would be to offer £35+ million plus Carvalho to land Sneijder. That's the advantage we have over United, we have a player that Inter want, and are apparently having talks with. but as I said earlier, I don't think it'll happen because he wants to stay with Inter Milan. Although, the only contending thought I have, is that there have been times when things such as that don't actually materialise... prime example... David Silva... he wanted to come to us and play alongside Drogs and Lamps... now he's going to playing alongside Tevez and Barry at City. bottom line is.. you just never know!
  12. Sneijder is a fantastic player, but I don't think we'll sign him.
  13. I know!! Just look at the players we've signed from there - Ferreira - Carvalho - Bosingwa - Meireles? - B. Alves? I'd love to see Meireles here, but Alves is a pointless signing. He's 29 in November, and we already have Terry, Alex and Ivanovic as centrebacks, not to mention the likes of Mancienne (if he stays) Bruma and van Aanholt as understudies. totally not necessary!
  14. Chelsea are set to move for Porto defender Bruno Alves after agreeing to sell his Portuguese team-mate, Ricardo Carvalho. --------------------------------- Source:- The Daily Telegraph ---------------------------------
  15. I'm not buying it! I'd rather go for a younger, probably a lot more cheaper option in Aguero! Torres is a great striker, of course, but he has had a poor World Cup, and parting with £50-odd million for him is a massive gamble. Sometimes, for players, it can put a lot of pressure on the player if they are bought for a large amount of money. I remember when we signed Sheva for £30 million before he jetted off with Ukraine for the 2006 World Cup. And he came back to play for us the following season, and he was a huge disappoinment. Yeah Aguero didn't get a chance to play a lot at the World Cup this year and prove himself, but look at who was in front of him... Tevez, Messi, Milito. I bet if even one of those names were injured before the world cup, he would have started every game and brightened up the stage. Aguero has so much to prove and he's only 22. Torres on the other hand, is 26 and is currently out of form at this world cup. Would you rather have a younger in-form player, or an older striker who's struggling for form? .. I know who I'd want in my team.
  16. Sorry, but offering £70 million for an out-of-form world cup star is bloody ridiculous... no!!
  17. I gotta say TX, that doesn't look all that bad! ..... I also think these squad numbers are going to pan out nicely The suqad numbers will be... #7 Kakuta #9 Fernando Torres #10 Sergio Aguero #14 Yossi Benayoun Yeah this probably won't happen but we can all dream!
  18. oh yeah that's right! And he plays for Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, which is Ukranian not Uzbekistani
  19. Isn't he a player who was on loan from us at PSV along with Alex? .... until he joined Benfica?? I don't know, I might be wrong..could be thinking of someone else
  20. Yeah I agree, €15 million is a bit pricey when we want to sign players like Aguero, who I really want us to sign, so signing a midfielder at 27 is a bit of a gamble.
  21. His form may have been poor at the world cup, but he has Premier League experience and I would love to see him at Chelsea! Only problem... he's just far too pricey! Last bid we made according to some tabloids was £70 million... I don't want us to spend that much on Torres.
  22. English club Chelsea have emerged as favourites to sign FC Porto midfielder Raul Meireles, as the Dragons close on a deal for Sporting midfielder Joao Moutinho. Porto last night reportedly agreed a deal with Sporting for Moutinho, who will sign a four-year deal with Andre Villas Boas’ side. The Lisbon club will receive €10m, plus a player in exchange, with Nuno Coelho likely to be the makeweight. Sporting will also receive 30% of any future sell-on fee should Moutinho move abroad in the future. Moutinho is expected to arrive at the Dragao as a direct replacement for Raul Meireles, who has been the subject of speculation over a big-money transfer after enjoying a bright World Cup for Portugal. Meireles was linked with Spanish giants Real Madrid over the weekend, but sources in Portugal suggest England is now his most likely destination. According to reports, Chelsea are now at the front of the queue for the 27-year-old, who is expected to cost around €15m. There has been no official agreement between the clubs for Meireles, but agent Jorge Mendes, who represents Blues’ players Hilario, Ricardo Carvalho, Deco and Paulo Ferreira, is again taking a central role in the negotiations. ---------------------------------------------- Source:- Portu-GOAL.net ----------------------------------------------
