  1. We might as well play Luiz at right back since he's able to play there! I wouldn't say this is the right kind of game to be experimenting though, especially when Gareth Bale can bomb down the left with ease.
  2. Kluivert doesn't play in midfield dude! I would rather add Cruyff in that Barcelona team somewhere rather than Deco in all honesty!
  3. No offence to you, but your taste is very poor! I absolutely hate that Flourescent away shirt. The most ironic thing about me saying that, is that I actually own the jersey!!
  4. Very well constructed post Alex, it's a good thing that I've kept this in mind since I learned about Tottenham supporters a number of years ago!
  5. This is my team to face T*ttenham ... --- Cech --- --- Ivanovic --- Terry© --- Luiz --- A.Cole --- --- Mikel --- --- Ramires --- Lampard --- --- Anelka --- Drogba --- Malouda --- Subs: Turnbull, Alex, Bertrand, McEachran, Benayoun, Zhirkov, Torres I think despite the absence of Essien through injury, our squad still has the right balance in defence and attack. Mikel could be in a holding role, while you have the likes of Ramires running in and getting at the opposing defence, while Lampard is there to make crucial passes and maybe even score himself. I think Torres will be on the bench again, but Carlo should give him a lot more minutes of game time than what he's currently giving him. I don't think giving him 10-15 minutes of game time is enough in all honesty. Maybe on the 60-minute mark, he should come on! I do however agree with any arguement that Torres should be put in the starting XI.
  6. Well, Madrid can fuck off. If Jose wants to work with JT again, then get his arse back in West London! (I still back Carlo)
  7. 3 defenders, 3 long-range goals William Gallas http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUn7QageCHY Ricardo Carvalho Juliano Belletti David Luiz to score one from way out then?? :eyebrows:
  8. To sing to Liverpool fans at Anfield (when we're winning there) You're all jobless, at the Kop You're all jobless, You're all jobless, You're all jobless, at the Kop... :blue scalf:
  9. Gareth Bale in my honest opinion is overrated!
  10. I expect us to win, but Tottenham at home is the sort of game where it could go horribly wrong! (gut feeling)
  11. I love it!! I think it's the best font style we've used in a long time!! Those adidas curved numbers from previous seasons looked shit!!
  12. Tottenham will NOT want to sell an asset to a rival club however, that's why I reckon this deal isn't worth thinking about. I only posted the source up, because what I read about him wanting to play in the top flight in Europe again got my attention.
  13. I have to say, I agree with your post! I reckon it's time to start using the younger generation of players now that it's coming to the end of the Premiership, and it's time for Essien to have a rest. I would love to see McEachran getting some participation in the last 4 games as well because it's a chance to get some games behind you and show the manager if you're really capable of a place in the starting XI ahead of others. I think Ramires is not fully fit either so that's an even bigger incentive to use McEachran!
  14. Daily Mirror are reporting that Chelsea will make a £40m bid for Gareth Bale! Link: MirrorFootball
  15. That injury he got was the same injury that ruled him out of the World Cup wasn't it?? Could be a serious matter!
  16. That's exactly what I think right now!
  17. You forgot Jess Clement :eyebrows:
  18. He's obviously a player who has some anger issues, and sometimes, that will get you nowhere in the Premier League because you'll have red cards coming out of your ears. It's a pity because he's at a young age, he has a lot of talent in him to go and score goals. I suppose he's learning his trade. He's got enough years to prove that. Whether it'd be Citeh or somewhere else in the future. Balotelli had some nasty parting words he gave to Inter before he joined City I seem to remember.
  19. We already know the answer to that! If Roman has a very short patience, he will just sack him and go find someone else who is better than him. That's why I stick by Carlo, because whether we win any trophies or not, he should keep his job so that he can have a chance to rebuild our squad with the players he wants! Like many have said on this forum, Carlo is a world class manager! I just don't think this season has gone well for us.. for two reasons.. 1) because of the heavy number of first team players we lost from the year we were champions.. and 2) injuries to key players such as Lampard! It was never Carlo's fault, he just had to go with what was available to him at the time, whilst using alien tactics as opposed to what the Chelsea team have been used to for a number of years, (that being 4-3-3), and it hadn't worked. If injuries weren't a prime factor, I don't think our crisis in November/December would have existed, and we would have been top by now!
  20. All the stadium scenes were done at Millwall's home ground if I remember rightly??
  21. Best signings: 1) David Luiz (Chelsea) 2) Javier Hernandez (Man Utd) 3) Raul Meireles (Liverpool) 4) Daniel Sturridge (Bolton loan) 5) Rafael van der Vaart (Tottenham) Worst signings: 1) Joe Cole (Liverpool) 2) Mario Balotelli (Man City) 3) Fernando Torres (Chelsea) so far 4) Bebe (Man Utd) 5) Sebastien Squillaci (Arsenal)
  22. The only place in the Premier League he could possibly join is us because he thinks that joining a rival club to a team he's already managed is impossible! I just go by that!
  23. I back Carlo all the way, but if he really had to go, Jose would be my first choice! Sadly, I doubt it will happen this summer
