Exactly!! I mean, I hate to bring it up, but if you look at Robinho when he nearly joined us and opted for City, that tells you anything can happen in the transfer market! Ron Gourlay might be planning something not even the media know anything about! We all know Chelsea are full of suprises!

Valencia are asking for a price, so although they're standing firm on him, they're attracting interest at the same time. I don't think Arsenal will sign him, even though they've sold Fabregas to Barcelona because they've been able to negotiate a buy back clause in his contract, which I think is stupid, while Man City have absolutely NO room for another winger. I would be VERY suprised if they moved for him. So that leaves us! I reckon that if this £35m + Kalou + Malouda deal for Modric is true, then Juan Mata is the player we desperately need to replace them both. If we sign Mata and Modric, then we will definitely have a stronghold in the premier league race! :lol:

I'm still not a fan of the 3rd kit! It would honestly look so much better if it didn't have that ridiculous black space at the top of the shirt! It just makes it look ugly!

This should be a straightforward game if we approach it with the right attitude. Like Alex said, I'd like to see Anelka playing on the right rather than Kalou! I thought Kalou was poor against Stoke!!

I agree in terms of the width of the squad. That's why I keep saying that Sturridge needs a chance there, because I feel he's quicker than Kalou, and he's also better at making decisions too. Chelsea need to be aware of the way he contributed at Bolton... the goals he scored, his responsibilities, his experience. He's an awesome, quick young player that we're not using, and it sickens me to notice the interest coming in from other clubs that want to sign him. As for creativity. There are a few options that may be considered. Modric for £35m is not to be sniffed at... I understand that some people want him, and a vast majority of people don't because they want to see McEachran flourish... I have no problem with that. But Benayoun is the other option, and I say that because he's the one player who can unlock Torres, and make him look more involved. I hope the media are kind to Torres this year and leave him the fuck alone, because all they seem to do is pile the pressure on him because he's only scored one in as many games. If they treat him like every other player who plays in the Premier League, let him do his own thing and let him concentrate on the pitch, everything will come naturally, and it'll fall into place. Remember what Boas did to Falcao when he was at Porto. Falcao couldn't hit a barn door with a bazooka before he arrived... nowadays he's worth more than what their fans bargained for because the right mentality was added.

He's slow, he's too obvious, his passes go nowhere, and he's just a liability! I cry out for Sturridge to play on the right but it never happens!

I'm actually happy with a point in all honesty. Stoke is a tough venue to go and get a win. I believe the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool would have found it tough there as well, so it's okay. Kalou was poor though! Absolutely poor... if we had Sturridge on the right rather than Kalou, I reckon we could have seen more pace and speed down the wings, and Torres would have got a goal or two. Torres looked spectacular. He may have not scored, but he was able to find spaces up front and get past players. If he gets in his stride as the season goes on, he will be banging in the goals. Ramires I also thought had an excellent game. He was getting to the ball really quickly and passing well. Overall... I thought our performance was not up to scratch, but I'm happy with getting a point at Stoke. Hopefully we'll put it all right at home to West Brom next week.

Benayoun is the only player who can unlock Torres... that's why I feel we should bring him on in the second half!

Chelsea are wailing out for some creativity, and that first half tells us all why! We need some better width too, Malouda's shooting is laughable, and Kalou is just too slow! Would have liked to have seen Sturridge there instead of Kalou but he's not even on the bench!!
