he was really bad last few matches but today he changed the game...we may not have been at our best in the final third but we owned them in midfield after half time....gr8 play by ramires and gr8 sub from jose....and very valuable 3 points

Safe ! experienced! what in yesterdays match indicated he could as a player do to change the game....he definitely did not win us the midfield...while matic played a lot of games mikel did not..... how many decent passes forward? how about interceptions...how many did he make? :confused: mikel is a good player....but good players play in clubs like everton , newcastle etc.... worldclass players play in chelsea..period!! we used to have ballack essien makalele here!! rather than ake i think chalobah is a better and more promising option...... even omelu is better another player we quite often criticise is luiz but what kind of game did he have? for all his talent hes not meant to be in defense.... remember the same player against mancity a week back.... either he realizes he needs to switch to midfield or let barca or bayern have him!! ramires was another player who had a brilliant match!!less said the better.... and imo Cech aint much of a captain....i really like him but cant see him inspire the team!! feeling pissed...could have atleast rotated the team for this one!

i got this feeling that nxt transfer window mourinho is going to pull another masterpiece and it could be mario!!

we need a more technically gifted midfielder than ramires....thinking seriuosly we should dive into kroos race....gr8 passes ...could compliment matic....and please oh god please...no more mikel!!! as far as back line is considered kurt zouma will solve that issue next season.... imo lamps should have played instead of ramires...

luiz wasnt bad and definitley not awful! Barbara is right terry almost let one in against southampton.....but terry usually does something physical with the player to try and make him miss....the mistake with that goal was why didnt anybody press for the ball before it was crossed in?!..he had a good 2 sec to pass the ball....it was almost like a freekick... who was the midfielder along with iva covering it? wouldnt be surprised if it was mikel!!! imo we needed a physical midfielder to impose us back on the game.....the last 20-30 mins was all west brom(and they where good!) and the goal was waiting to happen.... we completely lost the midfield battle....think terry might have been able to marshall us better... imo cech aint the best captain (no abuses plz!) we got.... was it just me or did anybody else feel fatigue amongst players?!!

just realized why we need kurt zouma next season!!.....we were outplayed at very place in second half....they pressed hard and the refree got confused with rugby and football quite often...i remember seeing atleast 2 lunges by west brom players and our players were lucky to escape them and refree pretended they didnt see them.... luiz wasnt bad but his marking was directly the reason for the goal(how i wished terry was there!)...wonder why cahill was blamed for it?! Ramires was woeful and willian played one of his worst games...he would not pass..and i would like to see a stat to know how many passes he completed!! hazard and oscar tried but we did nothing to be direct and effective.....wish we had a midfield with ballack,makalele and essein... maybe we can bring out a good response from this result...all is not lost...i only thing by end of this week mancity would have come on top...dont really thing arsenal got it in the long run once CL begins...

yup mediator but i think willian and oscar is best in the middle...while schurrle would do well on left and salah on right....worst case scenario ofcourse....

mourinho like lukaku...but its not his finishing or first touch that is bad(infact they are pretty decent imo) its his link up play....he doesnt do much work without the ball and lukaku knew he had to learn that before being able to play in the team and again world cup coming he wanted playing time under his belt....eto was brought since one stiker was leaving.... initially the plan was sell ba ...try and improve torres and train lukaku while bringing an experienced poacher like striker...

i knew right from the beginnig that pellegrini is a very good manager with a very short fuse.....it was very evident from the days at real and malaga.... he always let off the pitch things effect his on the pitch decisions.....Mourinho has smelled blood long time ago and is going at him again and again.... imo complacency is but not arrogance born out of confidence and self belief....but yup shouldnt underestimate a 'small' team but dont think we should overestimate them either...just the right amount of respect ...

I hear people talking a lot about how bad oscar is at passing and blah blah...... let me make this simple....imagine chelsea as a very powerful battle TANK now Hazard is our most powerful gun....and oscar is the latest- technologically advanced Engine....both are important and makes the whole unit tick! Mourinho has reinvented the position of #10 ... i read somewhere in this very post of the term central winger...i liked it... infact only 2 players can play in that position for chelsea...oscar and willian....oscar is the best option....and who said oscar cant pass?!! he linked up gr8 against newcastle.. The match imo that can be used to underline oscar's importance is the match against liverpool.... he choked their midfield very high up(remember suarez comin to the middle to get the ball?) ... his importance and mourinho's genius was highlighted by a hapless arsenal...look at their last 3 goals and the match against us and you will understand.... remember we played them when lucas was not injured...... Chelsea has become a power to reckon with(again!)...And whole of europe knows it ..

manu got saved from a defeat thanks to mata...but someone plz explain to them the concept of LB and RB!!! remember reading in this post about mata and how he needs players to do the smart running and making space for him to play at his best.. this game is your proof my friends.... .he was at his best once januza came on and started stretching their defense...........only rooney and rvp where anywhere near good while i cant understand what the hell their wingers are upto?!(Gr8 crosses!!) mata had a torrid time finding spaces(coped with it easily...) but to give a final pass he was fustrated(thanks to all those idiots upfront...) their first goal was a peach of a pass from mata...felt nostalgic.. moyes should have bought a right back before the end of transfer window......its pathetic ...
