if anybody i am afraid of it is david villa.... he is imo the best clinical cool headed striker ever.... and ppl talk about their players work rate...we arent that bad either.... willian and schurrle will be more than capable of performing against them.... we can out run them at every filed(ramires,hazard/schurrle,willian,oscar)....big diff btw us and barca....they dont thrive well with physical pressure...we are quite used to it!! and how many long shot goals have you seen against us...we are that good..and our defense will easily handle the physical offence and for superstitions...2012 i read loads of them and none favoured us and how did that turn out.....but since we are on the topic-last time real played bayern and we where in the other semi what happened...

it is interesting to see initially after the game all where so high on optimism ppl where talking about chelsea winning CL and mancity winning PL like 2012.... now we are arguing whom should we draw and being afraid of this team and that team!!! Athletico madrid won against a team that was half as good as us yesterday ...... and today the team is more organised and tactically well prepared than 2013.....more importantly we got mourinho..... we would do fine against teams like RM and bayern..... we would sit back and counter....and bridge is not a ground with great width causing both the teams loads of trouble in finding spaces......and we have really improved on the final third but yes still not perfect yet...... ATM is a good team but to understand them better watch the match against milan....they where not that destructive!!....yes they are physical so what...we have played in PL and to dread a spanish physical team is absurd!! against ATM own the midfield and cut their supply to wings and we have advantage..... read in a prev thread about uefa wanting to have bayern vs real....quite possible!! my guess is same too..... real/bayern vs chelsa... wondering who should we draw next?!! I think real madrid and bayern should face off and we should get barca(if they can overcome atletico!)but would prefer one of them to the former two but here on there is no easy team and its an honour to be supporting a club with this kinda character..... small prayer on manu beating bayern and we drawing them....it would be just too easy

I agree with everyone, hazard is a key player especially against their sub-RB.....but the game will be decided by our other 2 AM's....usually every match hazard has two players covering him......we need players like oscar and willian to force space for hazard to exploit.....just look at the match against palace....lampard in the middle and almost everytime hazard got the ball there was 2 players in front of him.... imo oscar will steal the show ...his kinda game ....psg is not a team that plays with width so if we win midfield we win the match.... mourinho is more than capable of reading their flaws....sensibly 0-1/1-1 to us seems good....but i feel 1-2/0-2 to us might be the score... ------------cech------------- --iva--cahill--terry--azpi-- --------luiz---ramires------- --willian--oscar--hazard-- --------<dont care>--------

nice tie....manu would have been better but still a decent tie.....they got a good team but not the best of defense.... cavani and ibra can be real trouble on their day.....btw is cabaye eligible to play?.... even if he is....a defense of luiz and ramires is more than capable of running over psg midfield..... imo the threat will be crosses and high balls into our box from the right wing searching for ibra and cavani... we play like we did against arsenal and psg would crumble....i havent seen them play against such a hard pressing opponent...lets wait and see how many players actually track back for them while defending..... but my guess is we would line up against them like we did against mancity...more of old school counter attack and try and take an away goal to bridge... it will be fun...cavani vs iva.....ibra vs cahill/terry....luiz vs cabaye....hazard vs van der wiel.....schurrle/willian vs marquinhos....torres vs alex and ofcourse ....mourinho's tactics.....mouthwatering icing would be bayern running riot ...

u are joking right?!! i would love to see barca playing against stoke!! and according to your logic barca must be worse than celtics and milan since they lost to them in prev CL?! that means italian league and scottish league is better than spanish league!! :confused: i keep hearing people talking about imbalance.... have you ever watched teams in the bottom table? they are so organized and has good players with good coaches! spanish league the bottom half is nowhere in standard as compared to that of PL bottom half.... the whole world watches PL bcz its the best(and entertaning ofcourse!)... as far as manu is concerned they had a mediocre team since cr7 left and every other team where in the middle of revolution....they were top of league bcz we didnt have jose or a coach of his calibre and mancity had mancini!! mancity is a pretty good team....and they can compete with any team in the world.... we are a signing or 2 from being up there with the very best in the world..... i rate ATM in the same level as tottenham...not bad and has a gr8 run once in a while but dont see them winning league or CL..ever!! since everybody is happy a small dose of negativity.... i kept getting the feeling we are one hazard away from becoming an arsenal or manu!! our back four was organized...matic was good...hazard was awesome in the second half...and schurrle got some gr8 finishing skills!! but thats it...even going 3 up we let a team like fulham back into the game...we need a stronger midfield....and someone need to infuse some confidence in cech!! whats going on in his mind?! he seems unsure of himself everytime a high ball comes into the penalty box! an alonso type midfielder and a good finisher as CF(not a poacher more of a guy who can interlink with our AM's) and cherry on top will be shaw in Lb(if i dare hope mikel and torres sold!!) even playing schurrle as a striker seems a good idea but leave all that to jose the gr8...have a nice weekend fellow blues

sad... other than azpi and an away goal there is nothing good.... what the hell was our midfield doing?!! begining to feel players are more worried about positioning and tracking back than actually playing football! what the hell was willian doing?!(gr8 work rate but everything else just sad!!) oscar should have been brought out earlier....imo instead of willian.... while bringing in mikel is always funny! only thing i want to know was if the pitch was bad? seemed like we wanted to play high balls than neat passes.... btw cech needs to find his bearings..the goal was his mistake...otherwise defense was solid... all in all another glaring match highlighting the need of a good midfielder to marshall the midfield(ex:ballack,toure) and a striker who can make a game by himself(ex:drogs!!)

was it just me or the refree was really bad? i tought he liked the game to be lot physical and kinda got the idea he encouraged it! looked like even mourinho was fustrated with him...

GR8 substitutions...we were being beaten in midfield in the first half and the he makes a sub @ half time and we just owned them in the middle...they never got control of the midfield again... ppl admire your clothes! ppl admire your PC's ....but i admire your tactics....you are the boldest tactician imo ... :tophat: talk about 3 points earned!!
