  1. I remember in our qualifier at Bosnia, late in the game, we were on a counterattack and someone messed it up/didn't pass the ball to him or something like that and he threw his hands in the air and started mouthing off instead of chasing back his fullback which ultimatly led to a dangerous attack for Bosnia. I have seen him do that on multiple occasions and is example of poor attitude imo. He doesnt have that 'never say die' attitude of somebody who never gives up like an Ivanovic for example and it is something he needs to improve on if he wants to reach the next level but so far i haven't seen that from him. Just now looking at Wolfsburg versus Sporting he seemed litteraly scared in going into a 50/50 duel for a loose ball. It's stuff like that, that is not appreciated by Mou
  2. How this thread works: 1. Did cesc have an assisst or goals -> if so, praise him, if not go to 2. 2. Is this the first half of the season -> if so, nothing to see, if not go to 3. 3. Write how you heard Cesc go missing in the second half of the season. 4. Get quoted with arguments why that is a myth created by haters. 5. get to a new page of the thread, don't read the previous pages and forget all about it. 6. rinse and repeat. Could people finally stop regurgitating this every page of this thread whenever he has a below par performance, i'm sick and tired of reading it. We got it already!!!
  3. Really? source? Ive read that argument alot as being the reason why he wasn't starting and now people are actually turning it into fact but can't remember Mou actually coming out and saying that. Don't really mind what Kevin said, Ba said pretty much the same thing after he left that some people get picked because of their name and no matter how hard you tried you wouldn't get in. So there is probably some truth to it. Kevin did what was best for his career. Don't think it would have worked out here for him even if he stayed longer. His attitude is indeed not the greatest and he is much like Mata in the sense that when he isn't the main man and he doesn't have a free role in a team that is build to support him he doesn't offer much to the team.
  4. If i had to choose between Azpi and Luis to go into midfield it would be Luis all day long (although i prefer him at LB over Azpi as well). He has the same ability as Matic to pinch the ball of opponents, he has good height and is technical superior to Azpi.
  5. If we would play Ramires and Cesc in the pivot we would basically be doing an Arsenal. No way Mou is going to set up his team like that. I'm expexting a proper bus parking match with all of our defenders in the line up and the whole thing will be turgid to watch as a kind of 'fuck you' to the FA for banning Matic
  6. I knew this would happen, please READ my post and point me out where i said we didn't play well. I'm just trying to point out that our early season form wasn't all champagne football as alot of people seem to suggest and our performance against Burnley was very similar to QPR/Leicester/Burnley in the beginning of the season where we suffered the same way with alot of slow tempo football, finding it hard to create many chances. I repeat, I did NOT say we weren't playing well!!!!
  7. You mean: That match against burnley were we went down one goal and got back into it by a lucky deflection from the post? That match against Leicester at home were we were lucky not to go down one goal and only scored the first one in the 65th minute? That match against swansea at home were we went down one goal and were being played of the park by swansea in the first half and couldn't get a touch on the ball? That match against Man city were we forget to finish it off against ten men? That match against a terrible Man United that were there for the taking and let another 1-0 slip? That match against QPR were we needed a debatable penalty to win? We got the results in most of those matches and thats why everybody was raving about us but alot of those matches were quit similar to the one against Burnley yesterday. If i have to compare our form early in the season and the form of Man City when they were destroying teams last season i still think there is a huge difference and we should be able to do better
  8. Our earlier season form wasn't that great to begin with, just that little bit more luck and more individual quality moments. Our way of playing hasn't really changed
  9. Don't have actual quotes but in essence he's giving his unsalted opinion about the bad decisions refs have made against us and they were basically all against us. Plus the fact that the media is much more harsh on Chelsea when comparing the 'Diego crimes' to what Barnes did yesterday
  10. He's getting banned so hard, lol those two interviewer are soooooooo bad btw, they are completly eating out of Mou's hand
  11. Please no Cahill in midfield. From the few minutes he spend there this season he looked way out his comfort zone, he hasn't got nearly enough awareness to do anything of use their. We need someone in there who is proactive and looks to pinch the ball of people. Think Zouma would be our best bet imo. wouldn't mind if Ake or RLC got a chance, these are the kind of opportunities they could grab to take over the Mikel role and get a foot in the team
  12. FYI, Spurs have a tough away game at fiorentina two days prior which is a huge advantage for us cause it will take alot of energy out of them and won't be able to pressure us like they did in their 5-3 win over us earlier this year. Their pressuring is one of their biggest strenghts imo and one of our biggest weaknesses, we never do well against it because we simply start to play the ball backwards and eventually hoof it up to Costa who ain't great in dealing with it
  13. And even more times we were winning 1-0 and ended up winning the game, whats your point, why did we need to seal the win before the 70th minute? If that red card didn't happen and we end up drawing 1-1 you would be completly right in your assessment, but it is a FACT we more than likely would have gotten the three points if that red card didn't happen so lamenting our poor attacking display in this match and saying we should have done more is WAAAAAAAAAY of the mark after such an abysmal showing by the referee. That kind of criticism is only justified if we actualy loose points as a consequence of it, but that wasn't the case in this match
  14. I've come across that statement a few times in this thread and i don't understand it. WE WERE WINNING, we were in control and we were not relying on penalties and the ref. The only thing we should be able to rely on is decent refereeing.
  15. Even if he is struggling a bit (some uncharastically bad passes from him), the difference he brings to this team in the pivot is unquestionable. He keeps us ticking when in posession. Players keep looking to combine passes with him. He constantly tries to provide an outball when the spaces are getting tight. He, along with Hazard is one of the main reasons we can keep possession in the final third and keep these smaller teams under pressure, and hence create much more chances than last year. Compare that to Mikel, Ramires or even Matic and you would see them constantly turning around with their back to the goal as soon as they recieve passes and look for a save pass towards one of the defenders.
  16. don't think we played as bad as many on here suggest, i saw glimpses of our form early in the season. The only thing we missed was some sharpness from Fabregas and Costa in the final third i felt. But what to say about the referee!!! I've never been angry about a referee before because of bad decisions because they happen, BUT TO COMPLETLY NOT SEE A POTENTIAL LEG BREAKER LIKE THAT IS SHOCKING and that's the reason why Matic reacted the way he did, because he didn't even give a foul, just disgusting....
  17. Indeed you have the right, but please be objective and post a gif of the thug Verratti as well and his flying tackle on Hazard
  18. lol, in other threads people are lamenting for the team being too defensive. Over here they seem to want Hazard to defend even more/better... sigh
  19. Also their defending basically consisted in stopping Hazard at all cost and the sad thing is, it worked. Cesc and Costa offered nothing going forward, Willian was his usually self
  20. Ivanovic in no-mans land for their goal, is not participating in trying to stop the cross and is not covering the first post hence why Cahill gets drawn out there and the space he leaves for Cavani to run into. But then again without Iva we wouldn't have scored and 1-1 is better than 0-0
  21. I don't think Mou ment that belgium was one of the best national teams of the last decade, that would be absurd. I think he meant to say that KdB was part of one the best BELGIAN national teams of the last decade
  22. ivanovic's left boot really deserves a place in a museum.
  23. He is so right about this. Because of the way the media jumped on it, they didn't really give the FA a choice but to suspend Costa. Imagine if it was Stevie 'media darling' G who stepped on Costa's leg. Don't think for a second they would have branded him the same way they did Costa. They would have probably still wanted to suspend Costa for placing his leg in Stevie's way in an effort to make him fall and brake his legs or some shit
  24. I think Hazard actually has to drop dead before Mou even considers substituting him, he ran out of gas at half time and didnt do anything anymore. MotM between Zouma, Willian and Remy for me. Willain edges it because he was the only one bothered to sprint and making something happen until he paid the price and got injured
  25. There is one thing KdB is great at and that is counter-attacking, and if there is one team that is easy to counter attack against, it's bayern. He's always willing to join the attack he never slows down the play and always makes good decisions so its no surprise he did well in this match to me. But against a team who parks the bus he goes missing alot as well. The biggest mistake Mourinho made was bringing him back too soon, he wasn't ready, it was a world cup year, he needed to play and we had 6 AM's at the time so he was never gonna get enough playing time hence why he leaved and rightfully so. He just doesn't fit well at this time at chelsea imo, simply because his defending is just awful. He shies away from physical contact, he doesnt tackle, i've seen him not track back for the national team numerous times etc. He works hard when the team has the ball but in defence i would dare say even hazard is better
