Willian........

I don't complain. It makes victory 2x sweeter.

I haven't seen anyone in this thread saying all Africans are lying about their age. But it is true top clubs have reasons to be cautious when they are bringing in players from those countries that have a lot of trouble keeping track of birth registrations. It's not racism, it's a fact. And it's not just Africa. Falcao for example, has been accused of being 2 years older than what he claims to be.

Looks solid. I hope Schurrle grasps the opportunity.

Eto'o's ex claims he was born in 1974 and is 39 years old http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2568284/Samuel-Etoo-annoyed-Jose-Mourinhos-jibe-age.html

Are we witnessing the permanent downfall of Manchester United as THE top club?
HD3D replied to HD3D's topic in Football Chat
I disagree. We were very bad with AVB in terms of performance but the team didn't look nearly as horrible as Moyes' United, which looks totally clueless. Chelsea + AVB could beat this United 3-0. In yesterday's CL game, their first shot on target came on minute 89. De Gea passed the ball to Van Persie TWO times and at the end of the game he was the player with most passes to him, which means all other players of the team didn't manage to pass the ball to RVP more than 1 time in 90 minutes! That is crazy. At the end of the game, Van Persie attacked his team mates saying he couldn't play in his positions because his team mates were playing there and he had to find other spaces to make his runs. This is evidence of pure lack of organization and 100% incompetence by the manager who has no idea what he's doing. And remember the game against Fulham where they made 82 crosses(!) and scored none LOL. It's beyond ridiculous.- 142 replies

Yes. Then there's also that. Being 14 and playing with 8 year old kids is an easy way to stand out, catch the eye of top European clubs and be given a free entry to Europe and later a fat paycheck by the club.

Under-developed countries often have trouble keeping track of birth certificates because too many people give birth outside of an hospital and don't even bother to register the baby. Because of this, it's common for people from these countries to have just an estimate of their real age. It doesn't mean Eto'o is lying. He might actually think he is 32 and isn't.

Just got practically knocked out of the Champions League by the worst team in the tournament. I wonder how much of a hammering Bayern or Real Madrid would have given them... It's scary to think how deep this club will sink if it insists on sticking with that clueless manager.- 142 replies

Etoo is very emotional and impulsive. I wouldn't be surprised if he scored a hat trick and showed Mourinho the finger in the end. He IS capable of it.
-
Fully comfortable? It's unlikely he will ever give them another interview after that. All of it to get a few headlines.
-
It wasn't in public and he didn't know he was being recorded. When you are sitting down with a reporter to give him an interview, it's perfectly normal to chat with him before the interview since the operators spend 15 to 20 minutes setting up the cameras/lights/microphones and the person that is going to be interviewed just has to sit there doing nothing the entire time. I know because I've personally seen how it works before. It was a mistake on his behalf but to say he did it on purpose to get attention is nothing short of ridiculous.

Cavani is second choice to Ibrahimovic at PSG. Not to mention he is often played out of his preferred position in order to add to Ibra's play. This is why there is speculation he wants to leave. He is out of his habitat just as much as Falcao is because a striker of his caliber shouldn't be second choice to anyone.
-
Cavani and Falcao both want out. PSG and Monaco are both rich clubs but if the player requests an exit, they will have to listen to offers. I think Chelsea can get both of them. The only problem is that I think we'll have to overpay if we want to.
-
I agree. It's not very characteristic of him either. Although I'd like to watch the interview with subtitles to see if that's what he actually meant.

How Terry is being snubbed by the British national team is beyond me.
-
He looks PISSED... I wonder if he spent the whole week with that face..
-
- He's on the same level as Cech but not better (yet?). - He has made it clear he will not come to Chelsea unless he is given the number 1 goalkeeper status. - Cech still has at least 6 or 7 years of good form in him, which gives us plenty of time to find another world class goalkeeper. I think no matter what happens, the future of Courtois will be decided this very next summer. Even though he has a brilliant future ahead of him, his attitude and unwillingness to fight for a spot in the team is problematic. This is the type of player who, under no circumstances, would tolerate being benched by the manager. Mourinho has had to deal with one self-righteous and arrogant goalkeeper before and it was catastrophic for the club. That said, I wouldn't like it if we sold him but if we got 40m for him, I wouldn't question the decision either.

Minute 82, still not a single goal scoring opportunity...
-
Disappointed for Salah...
-
Is torres high or something?
-
Well for starters, that goal is offside. And besides that, the whole team is under preforming. It's not just David
-
You know you're having a shit game when it's minute 65 and you still didn't have an actual goal scoring opportunity....
