The ironic part here is that at the very beginning, the most that people expected with Mourinho was top 3 this season. Everyone thought it would be impossible to win the league without a proper striker and several other key positions that needed fixing. Go to the old threads about the first games between Chelsea and City, Liverpool, Manchester United and EVEN Arsenal and you will see EVERYONE was shitting themselves thinking Chelsea had no chance. Now here we stand, fully confident that our squad is one of the very strongest, our defense is impenetrable and we have the might to smash any team in the league. So, considering the squad we have now (with 1 or 2 exceptions) was the very same we had at the start, who was responsible for this status transformation? And the funniest thing is that we now have so much confidence in our team's abilities that when it fails to preform, we are quick to point the finger at the manager, not realizing he was the one who gave us that confidence in the first place.
