Not sure what our side would've done without Fabregas in the lineup. Bats having a really rough time directly up against defenders, but we should've been looking for more than just the short pass to him. Disjointed win. Hopefully Spurs are forced into re-play. edit: nevermind. goal for Son.

Dancing bear in the box has returned.

Not sounding like a player that Conte will keep, but he still has a chance.
-
That's exactly right. I would still prefer to talk less about Hazard's shortcomings and more about the fact that the CM and LB near him don't present any consistent, high-paced threat for combination play. Hazard is still being attacked on his own island there, on the right. Passes between Matic, Hazard and Alonso will never produce a great threat against sides that sit back so much and focus on Eden.
-
the nimble-footed centre back was prepared to take on any attacker (Harry Maguire). Maguire and Courtois were MotM. Maguire snuffed out Hazard any time he was near. I'm not criticizing Hazard. We all know he's not a player that puts many good shots on frame. We need people to score other than Diego but I don't think Hazard was ever that kind of player.

MacGuire the immovable force with nimble feet at CB, Courtois MotM.

These PL refs and linesmen are really crap. They need re-training or replacement.
-
These Premier League referees are shite. The FA need to get better refs or do some serious re-training. Madley, Taylor, Mason are just shit and probably shouldn't even be in the league at all.

I take the view that pretty much ALL of the traditional powerhouses of international football are shite compared to a generation ago (and prior to that). It seems that the last embers of 20th century's football have died and one wonders what team will be less shitty or which lesser footballing countries could rise to challenge in international football. If Portugal got their shit together, they could make a good WC run next time. Same could be said of France, I guess. Maybe Uruguay. The funny thing is that Belgium may prove to be a generation of flops in international football if they don't win the WC next time 'round. Personally, I think it would be nice to see an African country win the World Cup.

I wonder if we would have tried to buy him when we got Cesc if Willian and Oscar weren't in the picture at that time. Hard to say what was going on as Jose was our manager.

how the hell did Luke Shaw get to 6'1" ??? I question his diet and fitness more than his abilities.

full story in the Independent: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/diego-costa-transfer-news-spain-return-chinese-club-tianjin-quanjian-interest-chelsea-latest-a7531051.html Chinese clubs have just had new rules imposed on them regarding foreign-born players.

Hilarious. Just when we began to like Diego Costa because of this season... Thus Drogba remains the immortal one.

This raises the topic of season schedule again, for me. I gotta say that just because the English and other Western Europeans seem to think it's better to follow their traditional calendar and play through the northern hemisphere's winter does NOT mean it's the best timeframe for football's season. Fortunately in this case, it seems that different season schedules have worked to Chelsea's advantage. Still, I think it would be far better for most countries to just change to a late March to late November/December schedule.

Leo Slutsky might join us? http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/578724/Leonid-Slutsky-Chelsea-transfer-news if true, I think he would be a good employee at our club.

A draw was good, but in the long-run, it's best to KEEP MAN UTD DOWN AT ALL TIMES.

FFS, G. Wynaldum sucks in front of goal when his left foot is needed.

I would support a Morata or Mueller signing. I doubt any of this is real, but Mueller is more like the type of striker that Conte would seem to trust even if he's not very strong physically. Seems like someone opened Pandora's box with all the China deals, but I'm not blaming anyone. All three deals were good for us, IMO. I think that Conte wishes for a pure, experienced, scoring machine number 9 like a Carlos Tevez (also a bulldog); not easy to have these days in football. Alexis Sanchez is the closest thing to a scoring machine bulldog with superb technique we could try to sign. Seems to me it would be a good time grab two forwards if possible.

excellent Pedro. this player would work well with Chicharito.

Is January taking a nosedive? I hope Conte changes something at the half. I can't watch more of this. Save my TV time for NFL later, I guess.
-
how much longer 'til L-City score?
-
I think it's a waste to wait until the half on a Matic sub.

This match is just a matter of waiting to see how far we will devolve.
