Does anyone have a proper live stream link for me??

@Tomo, 4-4-2 shouldn't necessarily mean being outrun in midfield. If you come up against the modern 3 man midfield, one of your wingers can pinch in when not in posession. When in posession, the wingers can spread wide again and you're bound to hurt the opponent. Providing of course you have wingers who know how to defend as well. Anyway, KDB on the bench tonight. Hope he gets half an hour or so to prove his worth. I'm sure he'll do great. Hazard left out of the selection, ah well, just blame everything on the Belgians! ;-)

@YouNameIt, All true. I still believe though that Torres is potentially one of the most naturally gifted strikers in the world. He was brilliant playing for Atletico Madrid, he was fantastic playing for Liverpool and he's still very solid playing for Spain. So after what is it 3 seasons now, I think we have to face that this 4-2-3-1 system is simply not working for Torres. Personally I think he would've partnered up brilliantly with Lukaku. Torres can hold the ball, play the combination. Lukaku can make a run forward, take out defenders, score goals, be dangerous for 90 minutes. There's also far too few crosses coming in. Basically I think a 4-4-2 with proper wingers would suit Torres a lot better. Chelsea definitely has the players to make that happen: Torres - Lukaku Hazard/Schürrle - Ramires - Mata/Oscar - Willian/KDB

@TorontoChelsea, Ouch! I'm afraid you are suffering from a bad case of scoreboard journalism ! Get it cured while you can ...

Guys, I was obviously joking ...

Everybody agrees then I for one would like to see the experiment one day where a club is managed entirely by it's fanbase. Democracy rules. Polls to decide who makes it to the squad, what formation is used, etc. Only assistant coaches required for the training ground. Live webcams during all trainings so the fans can see who's training well ... Could just work! As for Lampard, he's Mourinho's big buddy. I very much doubt Mou would even consider to take him off. Ramires is a crucial player. All AM positions are fully stacked with other wonderful players, so we might as well face it, KDB will never be part of the plan here. However sad that may be.
-
I still don't think it's a good idea: defensively too weak, little experience in that role, too much of his attacking qualities go to waste ... I'd like to see him on either one of the three AM (L, R or C) positions.
-
Agreed. The only central role I could see him play is that of Oscar, just in behind the striker. With his strength, pace, finishing and through balls he can also be a threat there. When you come to think about it, perhaps even better there than on the left or right given the way Chelsea likes to play. Who are we kidding though, can't see KDB playing in a match of importance for CFC until New Year when he'll probably be loaned out or sold, the latter being the better option for all parties (except for the KDB & CFC fans like myself ...)
-
True. I get that a club icon like Lampard deserves some respect, but the difference in treatment is becoming a tad ridiculous now. KDB had one poor performance against United and never even made it into the selection anymore. Frankie is playing poorly match after match now and is still the first on Mou's sheet. On the other hand, there comes a time you need to stick with a certain plan, if Lampard is part of that, you need to stick by it until it goes horribly wrong, that hasn't really happened yet.
-
I'm not convinced. A CM in the BPL needs to switch, pass, decide ... very quickly. KDB likes to have the ball, I think definitely for Chelsea's type of playing he would slow down the game too much. KDB is actually the one who should get the ball from the pivot to set up an attack, come inside, play a through ball, throw in a cross, etc. That's where his strengths lie imo. So I think it'd be a waste for Chelsea to have him slow down the game in the middle and a waste for his personal strengths as well.
-
this is where you are wrong though, Werder Bremen may not be equal to Chelsea, but Bündesliga in general is definitely as good, if not better than BPL. just look at how Dortmund and Bayern Münich outclassed Arsenal (BPL leaders) and Man City (BPL vice champions) in CL. if someone's good enough for Bündesliga, he's good enough for BPL. if someone can stand out in the Bündesliga, like KDB last year, he can do the same in BPL. just needs trust and confidence
-
I agree with you Henrique! Doesn't happen often. I'm a big KDB fan as you may have noticed, but losing one game is indeed no reason to drop players, need to give 'em confidence. Funny though how nobody said the same thing when KDB was dropped himself after one off day
-
Bad idea. KDB is a true winger. Should be rotated in with Hazard, Schürrle and Willian. Left or right doesn't really matter. Mata / Lampard / Ramires / Essien to be rotated in the center.
-
everybody stop whining for a minute and just enjoy KDB http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VrRLm-Ch9A

You really are the kind of supporter that I loathe. A typical Manchester United fan in my opinion. Cocky, arrogant, if a newcomer has a hard time (like Fellaini at Man U) just drop the lad and try another one. You expect every player to be sensational every match regardless of the circumstances. Football players are not robots, clubs are not factories. We work with humans and we give people chances. That's how it should be done. Not only for KDB but the same if Willian, Schürrle, Oscar or Hazard would start to struggle for one or two matches. Players are not machines, they need some confidence to perform at their best. KDB has received zero confidence. Dropped like garbage after his first bad performance (United). His MotM debut against Hull didn't even matter, not to Mourinho and obviously not to you. You take everything for granted. You may be a Chelsea supporter but you have the heart of a mancunian.
-
Mou should've had his back after the United game. One very good performance against Hull, one bad performance against United. A young kid, full of talent, new to the club, disgrace to drop him like that. He's received the worst of treatments by Mourinho. Some people claim that it will benefit his career one day, but I'm not one of them. Boy's been crushed, utter shame really.
-
Totally agree Oscar and Mata could play together. Mata together with Lampard is another story ... But it's difficult to say goodbye to Franky after all he's done and how he's still performing today. But ideally, you'd put a hard working, defensive midfielder next to Mata and Oscar in front of them. Ramires could be the defensive midfielder, but in that position loses a lot of his attacking assets ... Hard choices ...
-
Seriously dissappointed with his MOTM performance in his debut match for Chelsea, you mean? Or with being mediocre against United just like the rest of the team? You expected him to stand out already? Be the leader of the team in his second match, against United of all teams? Or disappointed with his appearances in the frikkin league cup after weeks and weeks of Chelsea B and U21 football? You've got to be kidding me. Quickly choose another favourite player man, you're stabbing KDB in the back.
-
I hope you're writing this nonsense on purpose just to piss us off, if so good one, mate, if not, you know absolutely shit about football.
-
Yes, understandably, but it doesn't make any sense to write him off based on the very few occasions he's had here, let alone judge his talent. I still believe that if Mou would've kept him in the team after United, given him some confidence, he'd now be one of the favourite players for everybody, shining and being decisive in every match ... But I guess you won't take my word for it will you
-
I'd agree with you mate but even worse than selling a player like Mata is keeping a player like Mata on the bench. A player of such exceptional quality deserves to be on the pitch, if not for Chelsea than for another (non EPL) club. The bench is for young, aspiring talents such as De Bruyne, Willian and experienced, less talented players (Obi Mikel, ...).
-
Okay, doesn't matter. They're all great, not much point in argueing who's better or has more potential. Just reading KDB and "least talented" in one sentence is very strange. Just read an interview with KDB in "Het Nieuwsblad" (Belgian newspaper). Some quotes: "The coach told me I played well but that he subbed me for tactical reasons." "I don't think I played bad. The whole team was good and we deserved the victory." When asked about his future: "I'm not worried. I just have to keep quiet. I work real hard during training and feel sharper than ever. Mourinho also told me that I've been training really well for a couple of weeks now. But there's 25 of us who want to play." Bottom line, KDB still not worried, nor thinking about leaving Chelsea. Just keeping calm, working, and hoping for a chance.
-
Totally agree with the fact that all Chelsea AM's are absolutely phenomenal. Even Schürrle. To say that Kevin is the least talented one, however, is just silly. Quite obvious that your opinion is solely based on the few minutes you've seen him play for Chelsea. He will stand up and impress you all.
