  1. Sorry but I've reported you for abusive language. This is uncalled for.
  2. The problem is not Torres, the problem is Torres at Chelsea. He's been top class everywhere he played except for at The Bridge. Same goes for many other strikers who tried here. So I think main problem is with the way we play, not necessarily the strikers. Anyway, wasn't Torres heading back to Atletico? Wouldn't surprise me. Get one decent (expensive) back-up for Costa then to replace both Lukaku and Torres and have Drogba as third option. Just hope Drogba won't make a fool of himself here, not after all he's done for us. Would hate to see his legend go down.
  3. Maybe I should consider, people are probably less cocky over there! Nah I'll still be around, believe it or not, I was here before the Belgians and will remain after.
  4. Don't worry, Mourinho will bring in a new striker for sure. I'm betting on Ronaldo (the old one), fits the Mourinho striker profile perfectly in terms of age and fitness!
  5. Good luck, Romelu! Finally off to a club where you're appreciated. Still hate to see you go though. Hope you prove everyone wrong here and put five or six past us coming season (we'll try to score one more than ;-)) ! About the price: £ 28 Mio seems about right for a 21-year-old who scored 32 goals over two seasons in the PL. Good deal for Everton, good deal for Lukaku and good deal for Chelsea where fans and manager didn't like him. Was about time the Lukaku topic was closed here
  6. 2 assists, 1 goal, 2 MOTM appearances. reaching QF's. I'd say KDB is not doing bad, no. how's England doing? c ya
  7. haha you know sh!t about football mate. comparing the likes of a humble defender like azpi-already-back-on-the-plain-to-uk-licueta to a world class genius like kevin de bruyne. go enjoy some good defending now! hush hush
  8. How about Kevin De Bruyne people?! 9.9 rating (whoscored.com) created the most chances (10) a single player has EVER created in a WC game goal and assist Always said he'd prove Mourinho wrong, just didn't think he'd do it with such a bloody passion! I'll keep on repeating it: neglecting KDB and letting him go is the biggest disgrace in Mourinho's career, not only talking about his Chelsea term.
  9. To be fair, Thorgan Hazard didn't play a single minute in the qualifiers either. And it's not so much about "deserving" to be in the squad, imo, but simply about being the best for the position. And at this point, Januzaj being a star player for Man United, and T. Hazard for Zulte-Waregem (WHO??), there can be no doubt that Januzaj should be preferred. So Thorgan should move to a better competition and a better club next year, and then maybe he can get in to the EC 2016 squad. Maybe. Doesn't mean I think he's no good, just too much top level competition in the Belgian squad for him at the moment.
  10. Probably, but I can't believe that leaving Chelsea was entirely his own initiative. If Mourinho really wanted him to stay, he would've kept him at The Bridge, no doubt. I mean if Mourinho let go of a striker that he really wanted to keep, then he screwed up massively. That would mean he just let Lukaku walk all over him, a 20-year-old player ... Sorry, but I don't think that's very realistic. So if Lukaku is at Everton now, I'm quite sure that was mainly Mourinho's intention. And stop whining about mentality PLEASE. He's been knocking in goals for Anderlecht, West Brom, Everton since 17 years old! You can't perform consistently like that at such a young age if your mentality is not 100%. So what if he doesn't like to sit on the bench, any player who does lacks ambition and probably talent.
  11. "We should keep him" that makes me laugh so hard, you tear Lukaku down like he's a pile of crap and then say "but we should keep him" like he's some sort of slave who should just swallow all your insults and work his ass off for you. Forget it mate, Lukaku's worth a lot more than that. If you can't appreciate him, don't expect him to play for you. I hope he'll leave The Bridge and finds a club with supporters who respect him. By the way, not sure if you saw KDB this weekend? Two assists, MotM and 10.0 (!) yes ten out of ten, unheard. Chelsea's loss. You'll find out later.
  12. Sorry for those who already did, but I kindly invite you to read my latest blog post on Lukaku: http://pieterhontele.wordpress.com/2014/04/08/romelu-lukaku-and-chelsea-an-unrequited-love/
  13. This whole "Scoring for Chelsea is not as easy as scoring for Everton or West Brom" is so incredibly ridiculous. If anything, it's the other way around! Playing for Everton or West Brom, you play against exactly the same opponents as Chelsea but with (slightly) inferior team mates. So it's more difficult to dominate your opponent being Everton and definitely West Brom, so you'll create less goal scoring opportunities. So explain to me please how on earth it can be more difficult to score for Chelsea? Who create more chances and give more accurate assists. In fact, if this ridiculous statement would have any truth in it, then shouldn't it show in the topscorers list? Over the seasons 2012-2014 only Luis Suarez (Liverpool), Sturridge (Liverpool) and Robin Van Persie (Man United) have scored more goals than Lukaku. Those are not exactly small clubs are they? This season's ranking: 1.Suarez (L'pool) 2. Sturridge (L'pool) 3. Touré (Man City) 4. J. Rodriguez (S'hampton > agreed, not a top team) Aguëro (Man City) & Rooney (Man United) 7. Hazard (Chelsea) 8. Remy (Newcastle > agreed, not a top team), Giroud (Arsenal), Lukaku (Everton) & Gerrard (L'pool) So only 3 players in that top 10 (11) who are not in an absolute top team. Kinda strange if you're saying that any sh!tbag could score as many goals for Everton or W Brom as Lukaku does. Not even to mention Lukaku's assists (6) (outranking Jay Rodriguez & Loic Remy in that department), MOTM performances (4) (outranking Giroud, Remy & Sturridge) + average rating (7.38) (outranking Giroud, Remy & Jay Rodriguez). All stats from Whoscored.com So, stop being so blasé about playing for Chelsea. Players like Remy, Jay Rodriguez and Lukaku can walk into any top BPL side. The pressure you say? Then explain how come Lukaku has scored at least once against every top side in the BPL, crushed Arsenal in Everton's most vital match of their history & qualified Belgium in Croatia with two goals when they needed to win to secure Brazil ... No more arguments left I suppose?
  14. My views on the Lukaku situation: http://pieterhontele.wordpress.com/2014/04/08/romelu-lukaku-and-chelsea-an-unrequited-love/ I'm happy to have your comments.
  15. yes, that's a well known fact, he actively searched for teams to take him over but changed his mind in training
  16. And who would want to play for a club where the majority of the fans thinks he's rubbish? Seriously, you can't blame Lukaku for not wanting to come back to the Bridge. And to know, that Chelsea is his favourite club, a shame really.
  17. Wow what a racist fool you are. "At least that's his official age". Just because Romelu is black doesn't mean he was born in a bush. He was born close to Brussel for crying out loud. Says a lot about you man, and not good things.
  18. What's all this nonsense about Lukaku not being "mentally ready"? Everton just played one of the most important games in their history and Lukaku chose that very match to produce a cracker of a goal and a MOTM performance, 8.5 rating on Who Scored ... Same when Belgium had to win in Croatia to secure WC qualification. Lukaku had to stand in for Benteke, everybody was afraid he wouldn't "cope with the pressure". BAM! Lukaku scores twice, and not tap ins #lukakufacts
  19. Haha, that's all Jose ever does actually.
  20. I get your point, but you're wrong on the form part, check his last 7 matches on whoscored.com and you'll notice that Lukaku is in blistering form in fact. Very high rating, MOTM performances, goals, assists. Any top team who plays two strikers up front would have an excellent employee in Lukaku imo.
  21. Never gonna happen (unfortunately). Mourinho wants to spend big. Diego Costa for sure. He's never been interested in giving high potentials a chance to grow. He even wanted to sell Hazard in the beginning, that tells you everything. So Lukaku will be sold to the competition for around 20 mil (not enough if you ask me), Diego Costa will come in, I can also see Eto'o & Torres both leaving. Another 20-30 mil striker coming in as supersub (with lower potential than Lukaku for sure), and Ba to warm the bench. That's the way Mourinho rolls.
  22. For those of you who understand Dutch, you can find my column on Eden's brother Thorgan Hazard in the link below: http://pieterhontele.wordpress.com/2013/11/27/t-hazard-missing-link/ Let me know what you think through the wordpress reaction feed or on the forum.

  24. Yes, I know that, I've also said repeatedly on this forum that Lukaku's style doesn't fit Chelsea. So I'm with you on this. Only it is to harsh to call someone's performance pathetic if he manages to score 2 goals in a BPL match. That's a quality on it's own, and even if it takes a lot more to be a Chelsea player, you can't just go and call him pathetic.
