  1. Interesting piece on Lukaku in my opinion: http://www.whoscored.com/Articles/0lx3whf7q0m5kzzbxaa77q/Show/Team-Focus-Is-Chelseas-Decision-to-Sell-Lukaku-the-Right-One
  2. And that's supposed to be me? Told you guys about 1.000.000 times that 1. I'm no Lukaku fan either and that I just think that he deserves more respect for his incredible EPL stats at such a ridiculous young age. 2. His mentality can't be that awful because of 1. As no player with a "stinking attitude" can reach EPL level. So stop trying to turn this into some Belgian thing.
  3. In all honesty, I think "Special Juan" is not too bad for a male porn star's name either :-)
  4. Yes, of course, because all the other players in the Belgian top flight are disabled leprachauns!
  5. Just love it how The Word Of Mourinho is taken for The One And Only Truth... Amen and all that :-) That's right, Mourinho is not known for any sort of manipulation, twisting of words, provoking ... is he? You're worshiping a dangerous man.
  6. haha now you're even trying to fight how incredible his stats are... the joke gets bigger and bigger. 32 goals in the Belgian top flight at age SIXTEEN and SEVENTEEN to even try to talk that incredible achievement down is just ridiculous Yes, haters are gonna hate. Sad.
  7. I don't care who he scored the goals for. It's not about that. It's about constantly bashing, mocking, hating a player who's actually achieved incredible stuff at his age, or at anyone's age. You don't need to be a fan (I am neither, as I said), but the bashing just doesn't make sense. It's the whole reason why he never felt at home here. He was mocked and booed from the beginning. All started with the huge mistake to let him make his debut for Chelsea at 18. Should've loaned him out straight away. Boy wasn't at all ready at the time. Lost all the credit with the fans then and never managed to win it back. Very little of that is his own mistake. I acknowledge the fact that he has a big mouth, but he's a winner and he wants to play. It's called testoserone, it's called ambition, it's what good strikers are made of.
  8. name 5 players who fit that monstruous description?? insane expectations. the guy is 21 for crying out loud. scored 32 goals in two EPL seasons. give the man some credit. I'm especially amazed by how the Lukaku bashers keep saying how "his attitude stinks". As if a 17-year old with a "bad attitude" can fight his way into Anderlecht's first team and become Belgium's topscorer. As if an 18-year-old with a "bad attitude" van obtain a transfer to one of the world's greatest teams (Chelsea of course). As if a 19-year-old with a bad attitude can become a regular starter in an EPL team (WBA) and score 17 (!) EPL goals in his first full season. As if a 20-year-old with a bad attitude can become a regular starter for a top half EPL team (Everton) and score 15 EPL goals. Who are you kidding?
  9. If you'd actually read my posts, you'd know by now that I'm not a fan of Lukaku's style of play and I'm actually happy for him to leave the club. Better for everyone. Only thing I can't stand is the constant Lukaku bashing over here. Again, a 21-year-old who's already got 32 EPL goals on his tally deserves more credit and respect than what he gets here sometimes. Even if stats don't tell you everything and even if he's not a refined player. And I don't think I'm wrong in stating that Mourinho has mostly brought in veterans (Eto'o / Drogba) to reinforce our attack. That said, I hope Costa will do very well here, eventhough I don't regard him as the most refined player either. For me he's an improved version of Hulk. But if you're slashing Lukaku for not being refined, I'm afraid you may get disappointed about Diego Costa too. Hope you will able to judge that objectively as well if he - just like Lukaku - obtains great scoring stats.
  10. He is, and I think he's an incredible player, and he'll get all my support, but his merit starts from scratch in a blue shirt.
  11. My point exactly, but in other words.
  12. And then one last thing on this post: IF Chelsea would REALLY have needed Lukaku last year, they (Mourinho) would NOT have allowed him to go out on loan. If they (Mourinho) did, that would mean that they are absolutely incompetent to run the club. To let the wishes of a 20-year-old prevail over the club's needs?? NO WAY JOSE! So: simple logical conclusion: Mourinho had no significant plans with Lukaku last year either, so he requested a loan. It's not the other way around.
  13. And this is plane racist actually. The "superior English society". #puke
  14. Not often in my life have I seen that amount of arrogance and pedantry in one post. I'm sad to say that Stats has outsmarted you in each and every reply, give it up.
  15. I'm probably the only one but I think "Stats" is - by far - the smartest guy on this forum (yes, myself included). Hooray for Stats!
  16. I mean he could drive the f*cking player bus down a canyon and you'd still applaud him. There's no criticism towards his decisions whatsoever. Even worse, anyone who does dare to critisize him is being bashed for a "Belgium fan boy" or whatever. Anyone criticizing (or however the f*ck you write that word) Mourinho couldn't possibly be a Chelsea fan right? I wonder how you would've reactied if it were Benitez who brought in veterans like Eto'o and Drogba for strikers. Sell Mata to United. Allow for Lukaku to go out on loan when we had zero options in attack. And so on. Perspective.
  17. Sorry I won't say anything to upset the Mourinho establishment anymore! All bow down to our God! José Mourinho! Viva el Presidente!
  18. Funny thing is I don't even like to see Lukaku play. Just amazes me how people bash him over here despite of his incredible EPL stats which no-one can ignore. It's okay for me if you don't like his style (I don't either), but bashing him like this all the time is just ridiculous. You say I support Lukaku more than Chelsea (not true at all - been a Chelsea fan for 13 years, Lukaku was hardly even born then), but I say many of you love Mourinho more than the club and that is EXTREMELY dangerous. Mourinho can do whatever he likes with this club.
  19. Boy you've got me all figured out don't you
  20. haha man you gotta love these Lukaku bashers like viper22 and the only place to be ... probably mean fokall in their own lives but they bash a 21-year old who scored 32 goals in two EPL seasons like he's a piece of sh*t. grow some sense of perspective guys.
  21. Strikers don't last forever. No one's questioning how good he was in his first spell, especially not me, but you can't expect him to show the same form, sharpness, etc. at his current age. There's a good reason why he's been playing in the Turkish league last season ... This is exactly what I was afraid of: people will have the same expectations from him as in his first spell but that isn't realistic. He's legend is likely to come crashing down. Bloody shame.
  22. Me? You're the one with the Fabregas picture mate
  23. Eto'o, Drogba ... not over the moon with his striker transers, no. Costa had a great season at Atletico, but is not exactly a "refined technical striker" they way we (most of us) like to see it either. Hope it goes well, but wouldn't be surprisef if crowd starts booing after few dodgy performances! (MMW)
