I can ask you the same question my man. Or do you think your opinion has higher value because you have more stars on this forum?
-
Oh come on, how can anyone say Lukaku is a technical player and keep a straight face.
-
Yes in the AMC role, gonna be great. Playing for Belgium tonight; Mignolet (Liverpool) Alderweireld (Atletico Madrid) - Van Buyten (Bayern Munich) - Vermaelen (Arse) - Vertonghen (Tottenham) DembΓ©lΓ© (Tottenham) - Witsel (Zenit) Mirallas (Everton) Hazard (Chelsea) Mertens (Napoli) Lukaku (Everton)
-
I very much doubt ANYONE on this forum has seen Lukaku play more than me :-) I don't want to blame things on your nationality, but beginning to understand how Canada is not a football country. Really man, you can post a 100.000 things on this forum but you still know the least bit about football. Or did you think you were at an ice hockey forum here?
-
And he will simply tear apart Japan tonight! Go Belgium!
-
Forget it man, we are saying the same thing. Still I think Chelsea's tactics are not suitable for Lukaku, and it will cause for his game to drop, for his confidence to drop, for his goal scoring ability to drop ... Kick & rush is more like Lukaku, you'll never see that at Stamford Bridge (luckily).
-
Haha, you've got to be kidding. Lukaku is about the roughest technical player in history. Even when he still played in the (pathetic) Belgian league, he was considered as one of the least technical strikers of the competition. Anyone with a healthy set of eyes can see that my friend. But that doesn't mean that the lad can't score goals. And that he can't be a threat for every defense. All I'm saying is I understand how he might not be suited for Chelsea's short passing style of play.
-
haha that's not even true actually, I posted once or twice on the Juan Mata thread as well but I make no secret of who's my fav player, that's for sure ;-)
-
As much as I love watching Hazard play for Belgium, still can't stand seeing him in a red jersey!
-
absolutely true this, one of the best matches I've ever seen him play
-
nicely put! Hazard is well aware of that, but it's work in progress ...

Once again, Barbara is absolutely right about everything. When Mourinho goes, I vote for Barbara as replacement! (not kidding ;-)) > In short Lukaku (imo) remains too inconsistent to be important for Chelsea. But I don't think age has a lot do with it, don't forget that he's already been playing first team football since the age of 16 so he has more experience than a lot of 23-year olds. It's just the way he plays, a bit rough in the technical department (a problem if you want to play for Chelsea) but always a menace due to his uncomparable strength, pace and - most importantly - his unbreakable will to improve himself and succeed wherever whenever. So I value him as a massive player, just don't think he's a good match with Chelsea. Ideally you play him in a 4-4-2 with a more technical, controlling striker beside him, who just needs to launch him towards goal. That's where he's best at.

In his role as a playmaker, Thorgan Hazard is currently (by far) the best player in the Belgian league, but there's not much competition for that title obviously. Dennis Praet, the young starlet from RSCA is probably a good second. Nevertheless, Hazard's stats are absolutely amazing (in big contrast to his brother's) and he's undoubtedly a very skilfull player, but of course still has everything to prove in a major competition. Should be loaned to a mid-table BPL, BΓΌndesliga or Primera Divsion team next year to really judge his qualities on a top level. One thing's for sure, IF he can make it on that level, it'll be an absolute delight to have him at Chelsea. Such a subtile, skillful player. Great finishing, passing, longe range shooting.
-
Don't judge too fast. For those of us who actually saw the interview, Hazard in reality insists on how it's not his decision to make and that it's entirely up to KDB and Chelsea to decide on his future. He only admits to the reporter that if he would be in Kevin's situation he'd find it difficult to play a role in the world cup and that he'd want more match time and would probably ask for a move. So yet another case of journalists making a big thing out of nothing. Somethimes I think there are just too many journalists in this world.
-
And then we haven't even discussed Thorgan Hazard yet :-) brilliant player! great technique, vista, impressive stats both in finishing and assisting ... destined to win Belgian's Golden Boot this year, be curious to see what he can do at a higher level (BPL or other major competition).

Eden Hazard very clear on KDB situation in an interview for Belgian television:

November/December are going to be crucual for KDB. I'm sure Mourinho is going to give him some chances with the enormous amount of matches coming up and given how he's still searching for his best team. He'll also want to see a bit more of KDB before deciding whether or not he wants to let him go. But he'll have to do exceptionnally well to convince Mourinho, that's for sure. And his current form makes me fear the worst. But if one guy can do it, turns things around, then it's KDB. He's a star.
-
I sincerely hope Sweden eliminates Portugal, only way to get KDB back in the Chelsea line-up. Mourinho won't have to fear for KDB taking away the WC from Portugal then next summer haha
-
haha, but you need to understand, KDB was the one who pulled us through the qualifiers almost single-footedly ... he was supposed to make us world champions next year and now he's playing at about 10% of his potential due to lack of game time. There goes our world cup ;-) that's why they were booing Mou
-
Up until last week I thought KDB was certain to go in January, but not anymore with the likes of Lampard & Oscar losing form. Mourinho will call on him shortly and will not allow him to leave (even if that might be a better solution for KDB).
-
Some of you guys are giving up on him too soon. Given the recent results, I'm sure he'll get his chance rather sooner than later. Two squad selections in a row. First midfielder to come off the bench against Schalke & solid performance there. Immediately set up a goal scoring opportunity, would've scored himself if not for bad passing by Ba. Yes yes I can feel his momentum arriving. KDB never once said he wants to leave Chelsea. If you want to quote the papers, quote them properly.

everybody look at these highlight of USA - Belgium from 30/05/2013. http://nieuws.vtm.be/sport/48593-vs-belgie-2-4-bekijk-de-hoogtepunten first three goals awesome assists by KDB. just ook at his touch on the ball, his perfect crossing. this is KDB as good as I've ever seen him. fyi, goals for Belgium by Mirallas (Everton), Benteke (Aston Villa), Fellaini (Man U) & Benteke. Like this post if you agree with awesome performance by KDB!
-
Oh, for crying out loud, give him a break. The kid did well. Of course he's nervous, just shows you he wants to do well for CFC. Wants to play a role. Again, a shame Lampard's entrance meant exile to the left for KDB.
-
Solid 10 mins by KDB. Too bad Lampard came on just a few minutes later to push KDB to left wing. Had a promising start in the center.
