I remember a few years ago, don’t remember who was sacked but roman came down to the training ground and said something like player power won’t keep ousting managers and that was the last time they win. That was wrong. While Antonio can’t just blame the players, the board but also himself, the culture needs to change because the players know that if they don’t like a manager they will outlast him. That’s something engrained in the clubs dna and it needs to stop. I’m fed up of it.

I get what you’re saying and agree wholeheartedly. more talking about how the manager gets this treatment and a sulky child like Willian should get a similar send off. Just feel bad for Antonio after all the work he put in during the first season. He deserves more. I know a lot will say sod it cause Sarri is here but this lacks class and will happen again and again.

Classless statement for a guy who brought another premier league trophy. Who knows though Conte could have been a massive prick to deal with for months. i just hope players like Willian who’s behaviour has been appalling lately gets similar treatment when he hopefully leaves.

Gotta be honest I’m way more bummed about this than I thought. I know we had a bad season last year and Conte was an equal part of it. But seeing him go from wild celebrations and loving the club to seemingly hating his job and getting the boot is sad. Anyways, this is Chelsea F.C. not Conte F.C. and on with the future. Thanks for the two trophies Conte. I always found him a hugely likeable manager who seems to have been broken by the club and some players. I really wish him well in the future and hope he gets another top job (in another country please) and does well. Forza Conte!!!!!

Like it’s been said, if Higuain is coming in to join the other strikers then awesome. We’d actually have some great depth and variety for the first time in years. Morata. Giroud. Higuain. Oh my!
