On current form, he's the best player in the world. Been outstanding since the start of the season, the WHU game the only exception.

I thought Caballero had a really good game. Saved us plenty of times and his ball playing ability helped us build from the back especially in the first half.
-
Rotate heavily and play one of Odoi, Ampadu or both. This game is meaningless compared to the next one. Can't have a tired team play them at the bridge, even when all fit they're a terrible matchup for us.
-
Not only we dropped points because we didn't rotate enough in Europa League. We also lost Pedro and Rudiger. Sarri really needs to prioritize the PL, at least until 1/4.
-
Yup, and I believe this is a sign of english clubs coming back in full strength in UCL. Liverpool reaching last year's final was also a strong indicator. First english finalist since Chelsea 2012. The spanish giants are in the decline and will very likely face a rebuild of squads. Unfortunately, I don't think our team is good enough to make an impact if we were to qualify not yet anyway. Still too many flaws. but Liverpool and City are strong candidates.

This should be an easy match for us on paper, but after the lack of rotation in greece and the short time in preparation things could get ugly. This would be the worst time to drop points with the liverpool games coming next.
-
It must be said, City have really raised the level of the premier league. Top clubs have to win every game and dropping points against small sides is a big deal now. Gap also getting bigger between top 6 and the rest of teams.

This half only reinforced my thoughts that we didn't need to play most of our starters. Ampadu and Odoi would have done the job just fine. They're about the same level as the teams we usually play during the first rounds of cup games.
-
Arsenal played their squad players and youngsters in this competition and cruised their way into 1/2 finals. Besides, it's not like Ampadu or Odoi are small time prospects. Very disapointed.

He's gonna love it when his own fans will be booing him at the slightest mistake, or when the stadium is too quiet because there are too many tourists.
-
He's a player that feeds a lot on confidence. I wouldn't be surprised if he scored next game. The downside is that when he's low on it, it gets to his head. It's odd to say because he's 25 but he lacks the experience to handle the bad patches. Prior to last season, he never started regularly at pro level so he never had to go through that. Personally, I haven't given up on him. He's way too talented not to be given a chance.
-
He's a top striker we always knew that. although I felt the Ramos-Varane duo was very rusty yesterday.
-
That guy is a fraud. He's not a journalist. He doesn't have any infos whatsoever. All he does is copy other reports mainly from french outlets and not necessarily from the reliable sources. Don't pay attention to him.
-
Only Mohamed Bouhafsi is reliable. The others not so much.
-
In the hypothesis that we sign him, where would he actually play? His best position in this team would be the most advanced of our midfielders, where Barkley was being played in pre-season but I thought that's where Kovacic was meant to be played. Very difficult to see him play at the wings because he doesn't have the pace to take on players on a regular basis.
-
If there really was an option to buy, I think there would be mentions of the fee. Also the fact that Madrid offered us the player themselves and we're probably beating other clubs to this signing suggest this is only a loan.
-
As much as I like the player, I feel this deal makes us look like a small club. Which big club loans a player and doesn't include any option to buy. Even if we benefit from having the player for a year. If his career is rejuvenated and he plays at an excellent level, all we would be doing is develop him for Real Madrid who takes him back next summer and could still come back for our best player. The real winner here is them I fear.
-
Hudson-Odoi is already a better player than Jack Grealish.
-
This game just confirmed what I thought the first time he made his debut for the club. This kid is a superstar. The maturity in his game is astonishing. Hard to believe he's only 17.
-
Top player, but there is no way this is going to happen. He will most likely sign a new deal. We're gonna have to get used to the idea that Barkley will have more significant time this season... unfortunately.
-
We better hope this is only the work of his agent. Otherwise we're doomed.
-
I don't think we pushed hard enough for the deal. Club probably has other targets.

https://twitter.com/EuroUnited6/status/1021743416647065600 Translation: Bakayoko's representative met with Sevilla yesterday. New meeting scheduled this week. Sevilla now willing to pay for his entire wages.

Truth to be told. We needed Alisson more than they did. They wanted a good goalie. We needed one that can play out from the back. It would have made more sense for them to go for a Courtois/Donnarumma type of GK. I think the shortage of quality GKs available this summer can't be helped. Basically, all of Us, Liverpool, RM, PSG wanted to sign one, and the only standout player was Alisson. That said, I'm not particularly fussed over losing him especially for that fee. 75M for a goalie is insane even in these crazy times. You pay that much for a GK, teams are gonna ask the world when you come looking for one of their players. It would have been nice to have him but we're certainly not going to collapse because we didn't. One more thing that made it difficult to make this deal happen IMO is the overload of transfers the club is looking to make. Club has to deal with Conte, Sarri, Jorginho, Golovin, Rugani, Higuain, Alisson. Not to mention the possible departures of Courtois, Hazard, Drinkwater, Bakayoko etc.. and of course the loanees. All of that on a reduced schedule(WC, Earlier deadline). We were bound to miss on at least one target.
-
He says the deal could be reached quickly for 160m. I think they're offering 160 for both. It never says we reached a deal. Anyway.... I think Fabrizio Romano should be our go to guy from now on.
