But too many new faces could upset the balance of the side as they would take time to settle in. That said, it took the current team over half a season to settle this season!!!!!!!

Why the fuck is Oscar still getting a game..Very poor performance from him. We really looked like a eleven guys (not a team) just out for a kick-about with nothing at stake. Begovic did well I thought and should hold the keepers spot as Theo is flapping a bit lately. Usually after a defeat I'd go on a rant, but really I couldn't be arsed. If they wont show heart and commitment on the pitch, I wont expend the energy ranting on about a shower of wasters.

I see in todays paper we are being linked with Bayerns Vidal. Will cost over 30 million. Conte has said that if he was going to war he would want Vidal by his side, and when Vidal was told this he said if he was going to war he would want Conte by his side. At 28 he wouldn't be a bad purchase

And so another new dawn for our club. Conte comes in and hopefully will resurrect the team and change our fortunes. What I really hope is that he is given the time to rebuild and get us on a firm footing again. I am a tad tired of us hiring a manager, who wins a few trophies and is then dismissed as soon as the results dont go our way. We need stability, and if this guy can steady the ship then give him the time and the backing in the transfer market. I dont think we will challenge for the Premiership next season or maybe even the season after, but we will not challenge again unless we keep faith with a manager who gets us heading in the right direction. Hopefully this is the guy to do it. Personally I felt that when we had Ancellotti we were onto a good one and he was the one to get us back our reputation following on from Jose. But after a few poor results he was gone and the merry-go-round started. He had a way about him that I admired, but since then our appointments have been questionable for the long term goals of the club. (Yes I do know know that we won the European Cup during that time, but that was an act of God!!) Lukaku turned Cahill like a fucking ballerina and he muscled Dave and Iva out of the way like they were lightweights. But if you look back to the start of that move, fucking Oscar pulled out of a 50-50 ball in their half giving them the springboard to attack. I am really sick and tired watching this lot disrespecting the club, the fans and the reputation of our club. No heart, no passion, no enthusiasm for the fight. This team should be ashamed of themselves for the last few performances. Once we got safe from relegation they went back to putting in half arsed displays and just picking up their 100 grand per week. Drop every single one of them and show us our youth on the big stage. At least they might show some heart for the club. I just didn't think that Oscar showed true desire to score for the team. I felt he only wanted it for his own record, and it was a very poor attempt. Hazard on the other hand, didn't show enough desire to really want to take it either. Some years ago I saw Ballack and Drogba nearly come to blows over either a penalty or a free kick (cant remember which). That's the desire I want to see...Not this lack of interest or focus I saw yesterday. I would have let Traore take it, I bet he would have buried it. Very classy performance from our main guys today. Fabregas has returned to his best form, Pedro is starting to slot in too.Mikel was also very good today, but fucking OSCAR what a waste of space. Had no right to that penalty, Traore was well geared up for it but Oscar pulled rank and fluffed it. Fabregas was right to admonish Hazard in the post match interview as he just doesn't seem to get it either. When you have a chance to score, no matter from where, or how easy, you should show the desire to really want it and not just say "We were 3 or 4-1 up at the time".Well done Fabregas. With a patched up back four I think we done well to get away with a 2-1 defeat. They are a talented side with strength in depth on the bench. My fear for the home leg is that we know we have to attack and score and that they will pick us off on the break. And we will have to score a few because we cant keep a clean sheet to save our lives. I thought we done well in the first half and were for periods the better side. But in the second half they upped their game and we just couldn't cope in midfield. Mikel a bit slow and cumbersome, and Fabregas is lightweight and too easily bundled off the ball. We will need to improve greatly if we are to turn this around.
