No check the ; in the line-up. It's definitely 4-2-3-1 + Mourinho can always bring Hazard in at the end to replace Essien with Ramires then partnering up with Mikel. When we played 4-3-3 you saw it with ; why would we play 4-3-3 against Derby anyways + we don't have lampard to advance forward. We should dominate possesion anyways, it just Mourinho punishing Schürrle and to a lesser extent Mata for their performance against Southampton.

The dive aside, he was involved in everything that was good attacking wise. Hopes he keeps it up, although im sure he will.

Mata is staying and there's no need to sell him in this period, we still need him altough he probably won't be a regular. At summer maybe, but lets see how the situation evolves.

We are not getting a striker this window 100% and it's logical, rarely a top one is available in january. A central midfield is stil an option though, as that was what José hinted.

I doubt Mourinho will rest anyone of the attacking three with the FA cup match coming up (wich should be a freeride). Hazard has played the most recently, starting all our christmas period matches. Willian got rested at Swansea and Oscar missed the Arsenal game. Torres might get the nod but i don't think so.

+ there is the fact that he is fighting both Mata and Schürrle for 1 spot. Having displaced them both (in big games) after rusting at Anzhi for 6 months is pretty impressive.

This is one of those games that defines our season, everybody and i say EVERYBODY was great today! Feeling a bit sorry for Schürrle and Mata, Mata is still better then Willian in terms of creativity but the workrate is impeccable and a Mourinho player to the core + the lad has some growth rate seeïng his days at Shakthar. This is a display of what our future gameplay will look like, endless pressing and hopefully finishing the game off early.
