Anybody surprised how fluid our attacking play is? Despite some stupid foul in the beginning, Ramires was okay for me.

If only we had a striker... Hazard, Oscar, and Willian on top. Schürrle fairly invisible but i don't blame him.

Willian didn't even play today. The only match he participated in from the start is WBA away (1-1 draw). Look how he made an exception for the Aston Villa away game. He's also very specific about player's "profile". Players that are exceptional 1 match and rubbish the next. Easy to find those players imo... But tbh, José made the wrong match setup. Oscar should've started from the beginning.

Idd, though he may not be the anwser offensively. Our defence always looks solid with him around. Same thing happened at Villa when he went off (although we where also left with 10 men).

Luiz isn't injured btw. Mourinho confirmed it was his decision to take him off at half-time. Also this "Mourinho says some players' profile allows them to perform well every game but some other players can't match that level" Curious wich players he is talking about.

Idd. Im glad our squad is looking more solid, was a bit worried that our am department was a bit thin in quality after the departure of mata and kdb. Just need more consistency from all the players. Willian will be back when we need him, just like schurrle whp went missing mid season.

Alot of people are neglecting 1 fact. The way Arsenal played against us was an invitation too counter-attack. Something where players like Schürrle and Salah excell at. Mourinho said that he already knew Schürrle's qualities "both good AND bad" in the post-match interview. Schürrle is a player who can exploit the space that attacking teams give us (Bayern, Arsenal...) + he is clinical in those situations to secure we bag in a goal in those moments. I would never trust Schürrle against teams who park the bus and require him to break their defence, he is a player that is more easily dispossessed and has a hard time getting past his man without pace. Both him and Salah have a hard time breaking up teams that park the bus (see the southampton game and the first half against fulham). Though top 4, Arsenal's defence is far from solid. They conceeded 6 and 5 goals against City and Liverpool respectively. I doubt Schürrle could do the same thing against teams with more solid fullbacks ala City/PSG. Nevertheless, he is a top choice against those sides that allow us possession and at the same time don't sit back that hard that gives us enough space for players like Schürrle and Salah too work in. Willian has other qualities wich we will need in the future, mainly the ability too hold the ball under pressure and link up play.

Idd, hope José keeps him for that role next season. Although we don't really need him as a centre back, i don't wanna lose him to Barcelona.

Boy have i been wrong about Schürrle, deserves a run in the next matches. Probably our best counter-attack player.

If jose didn't want him, why does he have a starting spot then. And why was he confident he didn't need mata and kdb and let them go. Think before you post next time... Im starting to get sick of these toxic posts. Today he was good not on par with haz and os, but still far from bad.

Would swap this lad for Ba, Torres and Lukaku in a heartbeat. Biggest mistake alongside Torres that our board has made. Dunno if he would be ideal as a lone striker, but unlike Torres Ba and Lukaku he gives you options.
