Is this guy even better than PVA and Bertrand? still can't see why people rate him so highly. he looks decent, but not worth as much as some reports suggest.

Whats the difference between De gea and this lad? De gea was considered "world class" with Atletico too and fuk me is he an average goalkeeper in the premier league. the thing with La liga is these keepers don't have long balls/crosses to handle. the premier league is the most difficult league for goalkeepers. Cech has been here for a decade and he's in his early thirties. Van der sar moved to United from Fulham when he was in his 30's and ended up retiring at 40. We don't need him.

Nice by the club to sign Salah to take our minds off the Mata transfer, no wonder UTD still not confirming it. I don't mind Mata leaving, but selling to a club that left us hanging with Rooney last summer.. you'd think we'd shun them off completely.. Jose is a fucking idiot to allow this to happen, even if Mata wants to go to UTD, he has a contract and we have to be dickheads and ask him to find a foreign club. ridiculous how we handled this.
-
The only more technically gifted player in this club than Salah, is Hazard. the lad's first touch is out of this world. just as good as Mata's. also, about time we sign a left footed player for that dead right wing. the guy's class. he's not another Marin/Moses.

This is so out of the blue. the lad is a cracking player, the closest to Robben you're ever going to get. if you ask me, who I'd rather see on the right wing; Mata or Salah? Salah any day. he really is something, shocked we've signed him.
-
I would recall the likes of Piazon, Atsu and Traore because believe it or not, they're good enough to be on our bench. Also, people need to cut it the "hes too young" crap. if a player is good, he's good. Look at Adnan at UTD. he's by far their best player this year.
-
Is it weird that I feel bad for Juan that he's joining that medicore team?
-
The hell are we going to do with this money anyway? all the world class players play for teams who don't sell, unless its for ridiculous fees. we're the only dumb club to sell the likes of Sturridge and Mata to direct rivals.
-
Keep in mind this is a club who sold Sturridge, loaned the likes of Moses and Benayoun to top 4 rivals. not to forget buying a 50 million pound flop. if you think we wouldn't sell Mata to utd, then i got sum bad nuwz brahz

I hate it when Moruinho says he doesn't want Mata to leave. he's been saying that for a while now. he also said he doesn't want KDB and Essien to leave. I'm starting to doubt what he's on this year, because it's no brainer some players have been treated like crap this year. those 3 didn't get a fair chance to compete for their places. Lukaku was going on the same road as Mata and KDB if he stayed. I still can't believe Jose never tried Oscar in CM, what do Ramires and Lampard offer that Oscar doesn't? he passes better than both and he tackles just as much Ramires does. like someone said a couple of pages ago, it's called compensation. you play a creative player and use his full offensive ability and you lose a bit of the tracking back/pressing enigma that Jose has in mind. Mata was injured in pre season, and I'm starting to feel that destroyed his career here.
-
Selling him may not look like a disaster this year, but it will haunt us in the next few years.

pathetic

Willian has earned his spot on the right wing. no one is blaming him for Mata's case. The thing most people are mad about is why Oscar who can play in many positions is in the no10 position while we have a proven player (who can only play as a no10) who scored 33 goals with 55 assists over the course of 2 years?
-
It's not preference. it's common sense. A no10 is a player who creates chances, makes the team ticking. link up play, not waste his energy chasing full backs and center backs.. like you said he's an all round player who can tackle, so it's no rocket science he should be playing in CM along with Rami while the more technically gifted player to play as a no10 (Mata)
-
The thing is, Jose made a bold statement and there is a clip of it on youtube where he said he wants Oscar as the no10. that was was like just 2/3 league games in the season I think. that was the period when everyone has been doubting him (pundits/media/fans) saying that Mata is a better player than Oscar, they're right. but Mourinho wants to prove us all wrong by playing Oscar and sticking to his word/idea. we know how big Jose's ego is, he's never going to play Mata in that role to prove his point. he wants to show hes right. Oscar is not going to disappoint, he's an amazing player and he's going to do a good job, so Jose will have an excuse. but the fact is; Mata is the better player and Oscar should have been a long term replacement for Frank in CM. it's not because he doesn't like Mata or has a personal problem with him, it's to prove the pundits wrong. the only loser in this case is Mata; and thats why I feel so pissed off/disappointed for him. the fact Schurrle is ahead of him in the picking order now just shows Jose really doesn't give a fuk about the lad. it's just not meant to be for some reason. I've never enjoyed watching a player like I did with Mata, only Hazard comes close to creating those "out of nothing" magical moments. great guy, a true professional, an insanely talented loyal player who loved this club. when the likes of Real Madrid come knocking I'm sure he would have never left. he really "carried us" when we were playing some of the worst football ever in the last 2 years. top lad.
-
Watching this video makes me rage. Willian and Oscar don't even do a quarter of the things he's done in this video.not because they're bad players, it's just some players are naturally gifted. it's instinct, Mata's born with it. the long range passes, the through balls, the curvey finishes, the perfect corner kicks, 1 touch play. now that's someone who I'm going to pay to watch. any hard working player can chase the ball and tackle for 90 minutes, but only few are magical and provide entertainment/magical moments. Also it's quite ironic when someone on here suggest Oscar should play right wing/CM someone comes and says " why change something when it's perfect?" Well, Mata was our no10 for 2 years and it worked perfectly... so why is Jose starting Oscar in that role? 19 goals and 35 assists last year and Jose prefers playing Ramires on the right wing ahead of him, fuk me, talk about double standards.
-
It's mind blowing how a player who was our star player for the last 2 years can just be dropped like that out of the blue for ridiculous reasons like "he doesn't track back" he's a fooking number 10 ffs. did Ronaldinho, Riquelme and Kaka "track back" when they were playing as no10's? Oscar can do all these tackles/pressing because he used to play as a CM in Brazil. Oscar is a good player, wherever you play him, he's going to do the job. Mata is different, he's not complete, but there are only a few players in the world that have similar vision, creativity and passing like him in the world. Oscar obviously scored/assisted more this year and that's because he's playing week in week out. Mata didn't get a fair shot, and that's whats pissing me off the most.
-
Sorry but I'm not going to sit here and accept the fact our player of the season for 2 straight years can't get get a start to the limit that Ramires is ahead of him on the right wing. players like Mata are rare, I'd gladly accept the fact Oscar has earned his place this year, but the lad isn't given a fair shot compared to the other 3. he has 1 game to prove himself and he's played out of position, then he's taken off at the 60'th minute. he played 90 minutes vs Arsenal and got MOTM. if Jose wants his wingers to track back/defend then Oscar should be on that right wing because he's the most hardworking player after Rami. I'd accept Mata not tracking back/defending in ratio to the creativity he provides. Oscar works hard but he doesn't create enough chances. Mata can play with his back to the goal because his first touch is out of this world. Oscar is limited, not because he's not a good player; players like Mata are just naturally technically gifted. Oscar- Ramires -Willian-Mata-Hazard I still can't believe we never tried this.
-
I like the part where you mentioned no one can shoot free kicks. same with corner kicks/set pieces. It's been rare this year to get a good cross to our center backs from a corner. JT/Cahill/Ivanovic/Luiz always look for those crosses, today Cahill managed to get one header which led to a goal. I hate it when Willian and Hazard pass the ball instead of going for the kick when it comes to corners. we're good in the air, we score a lot from set pieces (rebounds included) no one crosses the ball better than Juan Mata. Oscar can win as many balls as he wants, but he'll never be a "magician". it's no brainer Oscar should be a CM with all the tackling/running he does.
-
Can't believe we're actually still seeing Ramires playing on the right side. it's ridiculous the number of games Ramires has played this year. If Mata was as bad as Oscar or Hazard were today, he'd been substituted in half time. double standards of peace. it's clear that Jose doesn't like him for some reason and he should cut the nonsense and give everyone a fair chance A player a who scored 19 goals and 35 assists last year can't even get a start in 2 games in a row? BS. it's no rocket science that he's the only player who creates chances for our strikers. Hazard always cuts in and prefer to shoot, Oscar is all about tackling and individual moments. Look at Torres goals last year, more than half of them were created by Juan. our strikers are not getting chances, they have to depend on themselves to create something out of nothing. cahill created 2 of samuel's goals today ffs.
-
Luiz needs to come off. he really needs to be more disciplined. Cahill over Luiz for me in CB, no doubt.
-
Our movement without the ball has changed 360 degrees from what we've been seeing for the last few years. every player is trying to win the ball back; it's refreshing to see us pressuring teams and not letting them have their time build from the back.
-
Hazard needs to stop passing and be more individual, that's the way to go if he wants to score more goals. he needs to take on players, he's the best dribbiler I've ever seen in my life.
