  1. Didn't think he'd leave Italy, but if true this is a fantastic transfer. He's a hardworking bully, but he also has a good pass, good technique and a very decent long range shot. Very good start to fixing the Chelsea midfield problems. Absolutely essential player to the Belgian NT in my opinion as well. Better than Witsel and much better than Fellaini on that position.
  2. Might be actually rested for the first time in 2 years.
  3. They've been random brown people ever since World War II ended and we all know it. :-)
  4. Since I'm not living in the States, I don't know whether the level of education at the Haskell Indian Nations University (apparently the cheapest) is comparable to the one in Harvard. I would say it isn't. ;-) Point is that billions of tax dollars are pumped in the military every year for no use whatsoever, while they could just as easily be put in education. But apparently paying for someone else's college is a problem but paying to bomb some Iraqi civilians isn't.
  5. Yes, and then you get a lesser education because you don't have the money, which causes inequality to grow generation after generation. My whole point, that you seem to ignore every time, is that there SHOULDN'T be expensive schools and that education should be free or as cheap as possible. The smarter the voters get, the less stupid the politicians. Maybe that's why they won't tackle the problem.
  6. No they get tax cuts because they slip the right people some dough.
  7. Yeah, maybe we should close all these schools and invest in a couple of extra million dollar bombs to drop on the heads of random brown people.
  8. Our biggest companies (not only in the US but in Europe as well) have been getting ridiculous tax cuts for ages and yet all of them are still moving their factories to Asia. What does that tell you? Should we all start working for 30 cents an hour as well now?
  9. The point is that the more expensive you make it, the more kids will decide on not going. I didn't know what to do with my life when I was 17 years old. I decided to go to college and it turned out very well. If it had cost me 50 grand, I might not have done it. The whole point is that there shouldn't be 40k schools.
  10. Why should morality come from a god? Maybe it just comes from not wanting to be a violent idiot and from treating others like you want to be treated yourself. The fact you think people are only being good because they fear eternal punishment in the afterlife, doesn't speak for your image of humanity.
  11. The advancement of every nation is directly impacted by the level of education and the number of people able to get a higher degree. It's one of the more important factors of growth...
  12. In Belgium, you always get to try (if you finished high school at a certain level. Obviously a guy trained to be a plumber can't start a master in mathematics), you even get a second chance. After you fucked up twice you either go to work or pay much more. Some of the most popular masters have entrance exams so there aren't 2.000 doctors or physiotherapists graduating every year for example. At least that's how I think it is now, it used to be more lenient when I was still in college.
  13. Essentially it's the same question, someone is always going to be fucked. This said, I paid exactly €590 for a year of college in Belgium. Fuck socialism right.
  14. Because the fucked up system as it is now, has to stop someday. "Why can they have good stuff while I didn't have it?" would have stopped certain forms of progress every time...
  15. Deliberately targeting kids and still they pretend they have some kind of message. Sick fucking bastards. I'm not religious, but I hope for these guy's sakes there is an afterlife, so they can suffer in some sort of anal raping devil hell for the rest of time.
  16. Courtois is far from dumb, he just doesn't give a fuck about what people think of him. 'Boohoo, he's telling the truth so he must be dumb.' He knows he's not gonna win any more prizes with this defense in front of him so he says what he thinks. 'Invest in a better team or i'm off.'
  17. The thing is we are not fighting countries. We are not in a war. These are criminal groups using terror to provoke military reactions and hate. They didn't start bombing Sicily because it used to be mob infested. We've been bombing the Middle East for the last fifteen years and it only got worse. So apparently the only solution is to bomb it some more? I'd say throw some special forces on them. Essentially these idiots are mostly guys who were too dumb or too lazy to get a job in Europe. They're borderline-retarded, useless halfwits. I mean, they wanted to destroy Stade de France but they were too dumb to even check when the game started so they were half an hour late. Are we really afraid of them? What are they going to do to a couple of covert squads full of highly trained killers. Go Inglorious Basterds on their asses. Make it a competition between the Navy Seals, SAS, Spetsnaz, Foreign Legion and the Mossad. Those who kill the most morons get a medal and no civilians get hurt. Televise it for all I care.
  18. So do you want to kill them before or after they tell us about what their buddies have in store for us? Also, military action in Iraq is what caused most of this shit in the first place. Although it's pretty obvious we need to destroy ISIS, we need to do without causing needless civilian casualties - which just causes the next generation to turn into hateful terrorists out of spite. Yesterday they bombed an ISIS 'stronghold' in Mosul, which happened to be the university were people were attending college at the time. They didn't get a breaking news report worldwide, but they were just as pointlessly killed as my countrymen at the airport. Things like this sadden me to no end.
  19. I don't think the death penalty is a very effective measure to discourage suicide bombers.
  20. You can find idiot comments like that everywhere. What I've seen from Muslims in Belgium is a lot of sadness and a lot of concern about what is now going to happen. The worst among us don't define us, just as I'm not defined by all the racist shit being spewed on Facebook and Twitter right now.
  21. Well, I will fight that. Like I said, these people are fleeing from the same assholes.
  22. Well, very Orwellian, but I don't see it getting passed through parliament any time soon. ;-) Which is good.
  23. As a Belgian and a guy who frequently goes through Brussels Airport and the Brussels Metro, I'll repost what I said on my Facebook page here. Europeans, Africans, Arabs, Americans, Asians, Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus and what not: all of them were waiting for check-in at Brussels Airport yesterday morning. Same goes for the people on that metro train going to work: a cross-section of humanity. Does anyone really think the deranged lunatics who committed these atrocities and the halfwits that support them gave two shits about who was on that train or in that hall and what faith they had? These are not attacks on countries, religions or even ways of life. They are attacking and challenging all of our humanity. All of us are victims. All of us. We can’t prevent and control all of these attacks – they will happen again in some other place. What we can control is our reaction to them. I understand lots of people are sad, angry and afraid, but I’ve read a lot of responses online that are simply inacceptable, as well as the first attempts at political recuperation. Fools. Utterly shameful. I dread the day someone dear to me will fall victim to one of these attacks. Maybe I’ll cave in and join the legion of hate – who knows. But it will not be this day. Be nice and respectful, keep talking to each other, try to be a good person and be part of the solution instead of the problem.
