  1. As I said last year, the guy is about to ruin another team. Not a single excuse this time. Except for the city match, he was facing ridiculously inferior squads and he still managed to lose. I think he went crazy the day Guardiola beat him 5-0 in his first Classico with Madrid.
  2. Jesus Christ, this is just embarrassing. They should be able to beat Feyenoord with their worst possible team. It's not even a top team in Holland anymore and their league is now worse than our Belgian one (they're 14th in Europe...). They'd probably play better without a manager.
  3. I'm really surprised he is actually willing to do this for the peanuts we will give him. (€150.000 a year: that's like 3 days of training with Arsenal). Can't be bad for our strikers I guess. Still weird to me.
  4. Just read that the top four leagues will have 4 guaranteed spots in the CL group stage as of 2018. Really EUFA? How is that fair. It's called the Champions League, not the Finished Fourth League. At least let them play the preliminary rounds like they do now. It's like they want European football to only have four leagues.
  5. 50 million for a CB that isn't even exceptional. The market is going crazy.
  6. If you ever thought Hazard lets himself go in between seasons, take a look at Higuain. Wtf. Juve paid a record sum for him and he comes back from holidays looking like my dad.
  7. Nope, they actually lost millions, because sadly the board is not on the level of the players. Still a bunch of complete amateurs. I'm actually surprised they were able to get someone with PL experience. I was thinking they'd take some B-belgian trainer. The other guys on the list were Rudi Garcia and Dick Advocaat. The last one was practically impossible to sell since he dumped the team after 6 months five years ago. What quality manager can you get with a 600.000 euro budget? Martinez is not too bad. At least he knows how to play decent attacking football. The problem was really that we were slow in the buildup, a defense of Vertonghen, Vermaelen, Kompany, Alderweireld is not problematic.
  8. At least Martinez has 7 years of PL experience. Wilmots had 3 months of losing games in the Jupiler League experience.
  9. Defense was not the problem with Wilmots. We did not concede often with him as a manager. Wales was obviously the exception since Alderweireld was the only serious defender left (No Kompany, Vermaelen, Vertonghen, Lombaerts, ...). Problem was having no tactical plans, especially when behind against a defensive opponent. Martinez won't be worse. Considering we can't pay the absolute top managers (Wilmots only made 600.000 euro a year), this is not too bad.
  10. It's okay man. It's more amusing than insulting actually.
  11. Ah, everyone can do this? Strange no one else made as many for Everton in one season since the start of the premier league then. In a season where they finished 12th or so.
  12. Well, then maybe those fans are shit. Maybe give him a chance first and complain after the season. He doesn't want to cost 80 million. You had him for 15 and you made him fuck off. Also, you don't care about goals? I thought that was the point of the game.
  13. Yes, yes, opposition. He made 25. Were all of them weak? Also Torres wasn't 'ahead of him' in number of goals at his age. Not even close. He more than 30 goals on Torres. There are four strikers who scored more than him at 23 and they are called Ronaldo, Raul, Messi and Aguero.
  14. You're going to compare a guy who came in already injured with a young player like Lukaku possibly not even in his prime yet? 90% of this forum was crying about him when he was pounding them in game after game and Chelsea was close to the relegation spots. Also, if you look at all of his goals last year, not too many of them are typical poacher goals. Some are nice counters, some are great headers, some he created by himself. He's more versatile than some of you guys think. What a donkey, right: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Wk7wrcdcag
  15. Apparently it's Conte that really wants him, isn't it? Weren't all of you guys giving him your blind trust just a month ago? Wait and see.
  16. I think he's better with another striker next to him. Like Kone last year.
  17. To be honest, De Bruyne couldn't even make De Bruyne look good at the Euros. Lukaku didn't play bad at all considering our tactics. He scored twice, put several players in front of goal with a pass (who then wasted the opportunity) and was just half a foot away from a couple of more goals at times. I would like to see how he and Michy would get along on the field though. Could be a good combo.
  18. It's insane how his words get twisted on here. Your last sentence is exactly what he said and there is nothing wrong with it.
  19. Why would a player want to move from Juve to Utd in 2016. It's clear which of the two is the bigger team right now. Muh, money. I hope they don't sell and tell everyone to go fuck themselves. Utd had him and let him go. Had they given him a decent chance in the first team, they wouldn't have to pay a dime.
  20. There was a wink behind the sentence. ;-) Every country has its stereotypes, but after lots and lots of traveling, I've realized that in reality the differences exist mostly on an individual level. People are the same everywhere. Some are loud, some are quiet, some are nice, some are assholes, some are shy, some are extrovert and so on.
  21. Change 'Belgians' into for example 'black people' and read your sentence again. ;-)
  22. What Diego Costa says or not says doesn't influence my life at all. It's his opinion. He has a right to an opinion. If some overly religious idiot gets elected and decides I can't divorce, have my wife wear a short skirt or fuck another man up the ass (who knows, I might want to one day) anymore, this will influence my life a lot. I don't know why you are talking about the inquisition in this discussion. Religion mixed with politics causes hatred, oppression and war. If it's not the inquisition it's the crusades, the excommunication of world leaders by the pope in the good old days or the fact that in Saudi Arabia a woman can't drive a car. Law should be based on human rights, not on religious dogmas. I respect the fact a lot of people believe there's a Starman waiting in the sky (rip Bowie), but he shouldn't be allowed to influence the way I live my fucking life whatsoever. Not before he comes down and tells me in person. Then I will think about it.
  23. The US is not behind every evil thing in the world. The Turkish army has always 'protected' Turkish secularism. Gulen is a scapegoat to Erdogan, for him to point his finger at anyone he deems an 'enemy of the state'. As to date, about 60.000 people were jailed, suspended or fired, among them thousands of judges, teachers, et cetera. Several media channels have seen their freedom limited, all in the days after the coupe. I'm not buying US influence. Erdogan is using this thing to get rid of everyone who would ever oppose him. The only one who got out of this mess stronger is him. The friends I have in Istanbul live in fear right now, and say they are forced to live in a tyranny they never wanted or voted for.
  24. It's no or-or story. You should have total freedom of religion, but religion itself should not mix up with politics. Every time it happens, it gets dangerous.
  25. Also, the problem is not that he's "too religious". The problem is that he's trying to get religion back into law and politics. Everybody can believe whatever the hell they want, but keep it out of the law and let other people live their lives as well. If someone in my country tried attacking the separation between church and state I would fight it with all my heart.
