Ha, Anderlecht won (in an almost empty stadium sadly). This season we played 4 games against French teams and 1 game against their NT: Belgium 11 points, France 2. Not too shabby. ^^
-
They can buy anyone they want except for the absolute best. They will always go to either Barca or Real (and in earlier days Juve & Milan). No need to beat around the bush. None of the English teams have the same attraction value and Messi and Ronaldo still make more than anyone in the PL.
-
And they look even better if you know Bruges got absolutely butchered by Utd in the games before the group stage. Talentwise Bruges and PSV are probably as good as equal, but damn that mentality...
-
Some genuine LVG magic. One great half against Spain and he's a Messiah again for 4 years
-
He was crazy good last year but a bit less now... Very talented guy though!
-
Proud of my little Belgian team currently in second place in a group with Zenith, Valencia and Lyon. They played to get the win every single match. ^^
-
Here we go again. He's had 9 goals in 13 PL games this season. You're just making a fool out of yourself by now. He could score fifty and you'd still call him a donkey.
-
He's been their player of the month for the past two months. Since he arrived actually. I think they're quite alright with him.
-
What about the rest of the season?
-
Haha, I just read your praise in the Costa thread and then I came here. Too funny.

Although I'm not a fan of his tactical capacities, we didn't even qualify for any tournament since 2002 before he took charge. Yes, there are poor games, but we're first on the FIFA ranking and completely humiliated France and Italy. Not the shittiest countries I would say. Yes, we have a golden generation now, ok. But people like Vertonghen, Kompany, Hazard, Dembele, Mirallas, Fellaini, Witsel, Defour, Lombaerts, Vermaelen, Van Buyten, et cetera have been playing for the national team since 2008 or earlier. We had 'proven' managers in that period. Even Advocaat. Were were the results? Wilmots is not a tactical genius but at least he delivered. We're a good team, we're probably not the best though. We miss a complete clinical striker like Lewandowski for example.
-
First half was poor for everyone, mostly because of Cavanda who was either not ready for this level of play or far too nervous. we were playing with 10 guys. Second half was great. Hazard was enjoying himself. He played a good game for me. Too many players still don't get him though. Carrasco is great as well, really strengthening the squad. Bye bye Mirallas/Chadli. This guy is 2 leagues ahead of you.

Damn, finally some good football these last 40 minutes...
-
I'm talking about talent. A big part of talent is potential.
-
Great argument. Clearly they blow. Why is the first team doing so badly?
-
How people can still support a manager who is actively and deliberately destroying the future of their club is beyond me. There's more talent in Chelsea's U-21 squad than in the majority of first teams anywhere.

Goddamned, Anderlecht almost fucked Tottenham for the second time in a row and then a Belgian scores the winning goal. Annoying. The sad reality is that a team from the English sub top has a budget that is more than 10 times larger than that of a top Belgian club that won 3 European cups and played 7 European finals (the Spurs won three as well, they actually beat Anderlecht on penalties in the 84 final, but you get the point. ;-)). Also, has Dembele ever scored in two games in a row since let's say 2006? Muh, unlucky.
-
They've surprised me so much this campaign. Might become champions again and I would be glad for them. Such a positive team.
-
I know, it's the way he's wording it. Still, she didn't make a mistake, she got called on the field by the referee and Mou acted like a complete lunatic.
-
She's a doctor. Mourinho is 'just a football manager'. If you get a heart attack tomorrow and both are in the same room with you, think about which one has the most valuable job.
-
I looked this guy up. His name is Wout Faes, captain of the U17 squad that made it to the Semi Finals (still going on) and a central defender playing for Anderlecht. Apparently both Chelsea and Man Utd have sent scouts in the past. Could have another Luiz in 5 years. ;-)
-
Agreed, but a 100 pound fine is a ridiculous thing to give a guy who makes 10 million a year. A 50,000 fine as well, but ok.
-
Anything under a CL final with Real is an underwhelming campaign.
-
Just saw that one. No idea he was capable of doing that. Wtf.
-
Of course he hasn't been doing it for a decade, since he's just 24. This said, this is probably his only bad season since he started in 2008. He's been class every season before this one.
