  1. He's the only Belgian player who always gives the correct analysis after a crappy match. Mostly because he knows he can't possibly be benched for anything he says, but I still respect him for it.
  2. The whole team was playing like a bunch of arrogant pricks, but I don't understand this decision either. Hazard was not the worst guy on the pitch. What really annoyed me was the fact we played without a striker for 25 minutes. Disgusting.
  3. Dude, you're such a KDB fanboy. KDB plays for Belgium, Belgium doesn't play for KDB. Our attacking game was fast and varied, and Courtois didn't even have to save one ball. Stop complaining and wait for better competition to judge him. I'm quite ok with the current setup. Wilmots is the one who actually made Kevin important and made him a crucial part of the team, I don't know what you're complaining about. Did you see how much pressure we created by putting Witsel and Fellaini in more attacking positions?
  4. Looking forward to this next match. I think Wilmots finally found his system. Everything worked pretty smoothly. Hazard was finally the most important man on the pitch, KDB was less prominent but still very useful), Fellaini was a monumental force in the centre and a very annoying guy to play against, midfield worked well together, defense was as solid as it gets, lots of quick ball movement over the ground... Now I want to see it against a (slightly - sorry Israel) better team. Real test will be the match against France in June. Also, I think in about 2 years, we'll have a striker that will beat all our current ones. Keep an eye on Obbi Oulare. He's very young, but he's bigger and heavier than Lukaku (yes, it's insane). He seems to have a more than decent technique as well. Only needs consistency, playing time and experience. It's so crazy. 4 years ago, we had about two average white guys to pick as a striker, now we have 4 (and as I said, soon 5) good ones, of which 2 are quick and technically talented and 2 are absolute physical monsters. I just love multiculturalism. ^^
  5. Well, that's awkward. It's Hull, not Barcelona. Also, if Mourinho manages to not win the league this year, with all the quality in his squad every and other top team having a horrible season, he has no one to blame but himself.
  6. Even if he wanted him back, Kevin wouldn't come. ;-)
  7. Yeayea. You want to be better? Don't lose to them. If you lose to a team, you're a worse team than that team until you beat them again. No excuses. Also, they're still in Europe, Chelsea is not. Have some self respect dude. Also, I'm slightly drunk \o/
  8. I'd like to see Chelsea play them tomorrow. I wouldn't put any money on the result actually.
  9. I think he was responding to the Costa burn. ;-)
  10. Nice Lukaku goal, but for fuck sake... Have all English teams secretly agreed to play like shit in Europe as a joke? This is Dinamo Kiev, not fucking Barcelona. Belgian teams beat them sometimes.
  11. I guess. I'm just saying all these guys were Elite, but Messi and Ronaldo are superhuman at the moment.
  12. Also: it's important to be "in the picture" for the golden ball. Because of the whole "Haha, Mourinho was wrong to let him go!" bonanza, Kevin is getting quite a lot of attention. Let's see if he can win the Euro league. I think there are stronger teams still playing but we will see...
  13. There's a difference between being a top class player and being Messi or Ronaldo. All of the players you stated were top class or above. Obviously KDB will not get these numbers every season, but that doesn't really matter as long as he stays important.
  14. I don't rate him higher than Hazard. He just has a different set of qualities. KDB is an exceptional player and very effective when played right. But Hazard in peak form is magic. He draws the crowds.
  15. Uhu, perfect explanation. I guess Tottenham et cetera got savagely beaten in the Europa League cause they're just wanting for that Champions League win. Results are results. The rest is talk. The top 8 teams in Spain range from decent to good to superb. And why are you mentioning Atletico btw? I though Barca and Real divided everything between them? I guess in this super weak league, Atletico made a difference then.
  16. You didn't even read what I wrote, haven't you? ;-) I just told you that 5 different Spanish clubs that were not Barca or Madrid played European finals in the last ten years, but you just brush over that fact and call them a horrible league, while they've been leading the European ranking for several years... I also told you Kompany was injured for almost an entire season while playing for Hamburg, and probably requested a transfer himself after the Olympic team fight.
  17. Realistically, the premier league has the broadest base of decent teams, but it's been a while since they had a team that could seriously be called one of the top three in the world. Considering how much more money they're getting compared to any other league in the world, they should do much, much better. See also: youth development and the national squad. The first is one of the reasons why the Bundesliga might eventually surpass you guys (if only Bayern could stop buying every half decent player the other teams have - they're screwing themselves in the long run).
  18. Everything is just black or white for you ey? The weakest teams of the world? Really? Five (5!!) different Spanish teams that were not Barca or Real played the Europa League final in the last 10 years. => in comparison: 3 different English teams. It's not impressive When Ronaldo or Messi score 40 goals every season? Oh ok. Then tell me: why didn't anybody else do that consistently before them? Not even Brazilian Ronaldo got close to their stats in the Spanish league. Also, their CL stats are equally impressive, since they both broke the all time goal record this year. Considering the Spanish players in Belgium and the Netherlands? Most of the time it was a question of unrealistic expectations or not fitting in the league. The Belgian league tends to be cold, defensive and physical. Not for every type of player. Kompany was rubbish in Hamburg? He wasn't rubbish, he was constantly injured - he only played 6 games in his first season. He was also angry at the club's management because they didn't want him to go to the Beijing Olympics. This has NOTHING to do with the strength of the league, or are you really going to compare the average squad quality of Hamburg with Man City? Seriously dude, get your facts right.
  19. Why would he be joking? All the teams in his second bunch would be competitive in the PL. Juve would even be competing for the title this year.
