Did you see Dortmund play Arsenal in its first CL match this year? They were absolutely destroying them. They were already qualified when the second match was played so I wouldn't take the Arsenal win too seriously. Anderlecht played that group. Dortmund was BY FAR the best team, last place in the Bundesliga or not.

The guy's point is that the Premier League might be the world's richest league, but that doesn't make it the best by definition. English teams have been disappointing in Europe for years. Yes, Chelsea is the exception, winning two cups, but the football shown getting them will not have brought a massive legion of new fans since most of the parking the bus jokes are made at Chelsea's expense. And apparently, everyone seems to be able to beat City, since this is the first time ever they even passed the CL group stage with their billion dollar team. They're not close to the top 10 teams in Europe, both in results and style of play.

Well I'm pretty sure he's right... Look how much Messi and Zidane were spared in their younger years. Owen probably played too much, since he now has the body of an 80-year old, and Rooney is exceptional because he's built like a buffalo... .

Am I the only one who finds this kind of worrying thinking of his physical condition after 30?
-
Honestly, I haven't seen him play enough. Could be a solution too, yes.

1. Practically every Man Utd player is horrible this season. 2. How many full matches did he play in a row? Hard to do if you buy Di Maria et cetera. He needs to be given some confidence. 3. His technique is perfect and unbelievably fluent, and his crosses could be a blessing for Benteke and our other big guys. 4. We don't have a world class player on the right wing. Mertens is a good impact sub and Mirallas will never be a top player, might as well try it with this guy. (I'm going off topic, sorry, will end it now. ;-))

Hazard does not play bad for us most of the time, he just plays a less spectacular role in the team. He tends to disappear sometimes, yes. But during the world cup, despite all the criticism, a lot of the defining passes/actions came from his feet (especially during the atrocious first two matches). People give him too much crap, he works hard and takes his responsibility when needed. A lot would be solved by putting Januzaj on the opposite wing and stick with him. This will take some pressure off Hazard. KDB can be the defining player a lot of the time because 2-3 defenders stick to Hazard during most matches. With Januzaj in the team, this will not be possible anymore (plus we'd have someone with a decent cross on the wing).

Actually, as of yesterday, Lukaku scored as many goals as he did last year. 16 in total. Ok, not that many in the PL, but still. He won the last three European matches for his team and I think they have an actual chance of winning it. He's not as good as he was last season, but he didn't do as bad as everybody thinks he did. The whole team is a bit less this year.

I still need to see some proof for that theory. In my eyes this is just something everyone keeps repeating because they heard it somewhere.
-
Of course, he'd still be rotting on the bench.
-
Also, someone just changed up his stats, weird.
-
These last two were not yet on his Wiki-page I think. ;-)
-
Well, that makes 15 goals and 21 assists this season.
-
It's hard not to criticize the manager now. I saw pure Italian anti-football, again - and that against a team that missed its best player for 80 minutes or so. These players don't deserve this.
-
If I remember correctly, a better argument would be that the rest of the big Italian clubs were decimated because of the scandals two years before and sold some of their best players (Juve was in second division for a year even). So at the time, Inter was by far the best team of the league. Juventus dropping a league was what got them Zlatan for example. Doesn't explain the CL win of course.

I've really not seen anything of this guy that makes me think he'll be in a top team someday. He's decent, but we have many decent players... I'd be very glad if he proved me wrong though.
-
Well, I guess he's not past his prime after all, holy shit. I don't even know how many goals he scored in 2015. He just passed Ronaldo who was like 20 ahead 3 months ago... :-s
-
This is just one of those claims people keep repeating without any form of evidence.
-
Hmm, he gets a perfect ten from UEFA (ok, that's a little overdoing it), but he still gets slated on Talkchelsea. Give him a break. ;-)
-
60 million!? Such asshole teams. He's a fantastic player, but he's not worth sixty million. Sorry. Let him stay where he is. They're building a great team and he's the centerpiece. Why the hell would he leave for an unbalanced team like Man Utd? I hope they just keep him and keep buying one or two real quality injections (like Schurrle) every year. Maybe you should spend some millions on actual defenders, Man Utd. There's nothing wrong with your attack. It's just that everything behind midfield (except De Gea) is championship level quality.
-
Has Rooney even played one match up front this season? Haven't seen a lot of games... Seems like such a waste.
-
Thank you all for reacting to that subway clip. Why do some knuckle-dragging morons keep using football to push their medieval ideas? It's a game ffs, and it's 2015. You should be able to bring your family to any stadium in the modern world without having to fear they'll have to deal with this shit.
-
The difference is of course that Courtois knows he's good enough to always become first choice eventually if he keeps working. He has no need to worry at all.
-
My apologies ;-) But I didn't keep pushing, I just asked you to back up a statement.
-
Tell me why he is better then? I also mentioned two Bruges players btw. I wanted to mention Standard and Genk players as well but it seems they've sold all their good ones. ;-)
