Dudes, the Ronaldo thing was just an example. A manager shouldn't earn 13,5 million. Better to strenghten your team with some top class players. Also, yes, the previous managers couldn't win Chelsea the league (they won the CL though, but ok, as underdogs). Was Chelsea the strongest team in the PL? Playerwise? At the time? If the Chelsea players obviously stood out from the other teams: yes, you should have won some more titles, if not: luck and other team's performances are also an issue. My basic point was that current Mourinho (and LVG for all I care) is overrated, makes teams play worse football, has clear favorites and doesn't know what to do when shit happens. Chelsea won the league in 4 months last year. I said it before, if Hazard would not have been there to carry the attack by himself for months and if all of the other contenders wouldn't have choked massively, he would have failed last year as well. Honestly, there hasn't been a single good game against a decent opponent since early this year.

I'm not saying that. I'm saying any decent manager will do. Still, got no examples of Mourinho's attributions to the team. ;-)

Explain to me what he added to the team. Give me a practical example. Did he make them play better football? Are they more secure? Did he put the right guys on the right spot? Did he bring some nice patterns with him? Fluent attacks? A nice atmosphere in the dressing room? A positive image for the club? Most managers are completely interchangeable. Did Van Gaal do a better job than Moyes for example? Van Gaal got a couple of € 100 million of new players. Moyes got Fellaini. They were arguably even worse last year. Play like complete shit.

It was an example ffs. Players win you trophies, managers make you think they make you win trophies. They might make a difference yes. José is making a negative difference, that's for sure. Give Ferguson or Guardiola 11 donkeys and they win exactly nothing. And here comes the "what do you mean, YOU? Are you not a CHELSEA fan!!!?" argument again. ^^

Yeayea. Cristiano makes 40-50 goals a season, José makes zero goals a season. I'd go for Ronaldo. I'm just saying José is not worth anything close to what you gave him. And now that he has a 5 year deal he can pretty much finish last and still take the club hostage (since he would "NEVER resign!!!") unless they give him € 50 million. Also, Ronaldo wasn't playing Barca in the Premier League. ;-)

Who pays a manager € 13.5 million a year. Seriously. No one is worth that, especially not a manager whose only tactic is to try and park the bus... You make this guy a multimillionaire and he keeps making mistakes everyone who has watched 5 Chelsea games this year wouldn't make. It's just retarded. He makes just slightly less than Cristiano Ronaldo. Buy him and get a cheaper manager and see what happens.

The saddest thing in all of this, is that Chelsea owns some of the best youngsters in the world right now, and they have no future whatsoever in the first team. KDB stories will keep happening as the years go by, unless they get a progressive trainer who actually believes in them.

Also, that looks to be an Anderlecht shirt. He was 16-17 at the time. I think he was built in a lab.

Look at the actual games and the decisions he made in them. Look at his post game rants. He looks insane. Pele won three world cups. For more than ten years he was the best player in the world. Put him in your team now and see what happens. Mourinho is old, tired and finished.

Just read about his press talk. Blamed the referees again. Said that if he gets fired, Chelsea will lose the best manager they ever had. He became an insufferable parody of himself in less than a year. Unprecedented.

So basically he's been getting pretty much the same stats as in Germany. I didn't really expect this. Playing with Silva seemed to work quite alright as well...

I've been following the Premier League since the late nineties. I saw Chelsea play with Zola and Wise and Flo and Desailly. I was always a guy that liked certain players, and you had a lot I liked at the time. Very good team but not one of the absolute top dogs in the PL. A bit behind Utd and Arsenal at the time. Abramovich' coming changed the game and made Chelsea a juggernaut in a couple of years. At the same level and often better than United and almost marginalising Arsenal. No Abramovic, most likely no Jose. I'm not insulting anyone (except Mourinho and Costa ). I'm allowed to do that.

I meant everything after he left Inter (it's been five years). He won La Liga with Ronaldo's Real. Once. Atletico won it as well, with a budget not even close to his. I've talked about last year's Premier League in the previous post. Concerning Abramovic: Mourinho would not have been a Chelsea manager if it wasn't for him. Anyway, it all doesn't matter. The man was wrong and I don't like the kind of person he often is. If you want to earn respect, be respectful.

I think Abramovic's coming had more to do with winning the league... He did very well on his first spell (with a great team of course), but come one. Was winning the league last year really that hard with the team that was there? Who were the contenders? It was probably the weakest premier league in more than 10 years. The players were able to suck for the entire last half of the season and they still came in first. And in Europe they lost without any chance of winning to a 10 men PSG without Zlatan. I'm just looking for some practical examples of his tactical brilliance in the last 5 years. It took him 2 years to figure out Ivanovic might not be the best back in the world. Show me what's still special. Is it a joy to watch Chelsea games these days? He's more egomaniac than tactician these days and it's a bit sad.

Well, if you don't like those European cups, you can always give them to Arsene. At least he finished fourth. Guess he deserves them more.
