Chelsea Football Club defender David Luiz is set for a move to PSG - Paris Saint-Germain after the French champions saw off competition from FC Barcelona with a £50m bid.
If David Luiz goes, I'd like to see us bring in a CB. Terry and Cahill are fantastic first-choices, but other than that we only have Zouma/Kalas and perhaps Ivanovic.
If we can't get Shaw, keep Cole as our starting LB. There's no point in wasting money on 29 year-olds when we have Cole just a couple years older, and arguably much better already.
Barcelona hold a strong interest in David Luiz and are willing to offer Alex Song as part of a player-plus-cash deal, but Mourinho would be far more attracted to the prospect of a straight swap [that would involve Luiz] for Fabregas. (Telegraph)
Five in, five out. http://www.caughtoffside.com/2014/05/21/five-in-and-five-out-for-chelsea-including-eventual-diego-costa-signing-and-the-sale-of-david-luiz/
Let's just sign Niall and watch the £££ roll in from shirt sales, would probably cover the Torres deal and a half. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2635444/Patrick-Bamford-I-Jose-Mourinho-keeping-eye-One-Direction-singer-Niall-Horan.html
-----------Courtois----------- Azpi--Cahill--Terry--Shaw ----------Matic-Koke-------- --Sanchez-Oscar*-Hazard-- -------------Costa----------- *or Willian. Would have to be the best starting XI in the world.
If Barcelona aren't prepared to bid 35m for Luiz, I wonder how they're pricing Sanchez and Song. Surely Song would be around 10-15, and Sanchez possibly 25-30? Seems strange.
