Chelsea could well be getting some transfer business done ahead of the summer window, and a pre-agreement could even be confirmed pretty soon. However, the likelihood is that nothing will be announced until the season is over, as not to disturb anyone’s season run in. But behind the scenes, this one is moving. Similar stories have been reported elsewhere, but SPTC Sources can confirm that Chelsea are closing in on a deal to sign Valentin Barco from sister club Strasbourg. At the moment, we aren’t sure of the make up of the deal or whether Barco will be loaned straight back to Strasbourg for another season, or whether he will come in to Chelsea’s squad this summer. We are also unsure whether Chelsea see him as a left back or a centre midfielder. But as we have been reporting, there is a potential situation bubbling up with Marc Cucurella - there’s a slight chance he could be sold in the summer. So Barco as a replacement there might be Chelsea’s thinking. That is just speculation for now, we have not had any of the plans confirmed. We have just been told by THREE of our top sources now that Barco to Chelsea is very close. One source has even told us that it is ‘pretty much a done deal’. I would expect that it wont be confirmed or announced until the end of the season though, as to not create any drama for either team for the season run in. But Barco is expected to be a Chelsea owned player come the summer. Further to this, sources have stated that Chelsea want to sign him to ward off serious interest coming in from other clubs such as Juventus and Atletico Madrid, who have both been knocking hard on the door for Barco. It’s similar to why they signed Emmanuel Emegha and Mamadou Sarr. I have more Strasbourg-related sourced news out later today….. Simon Phillips More worrying that rumors of Cucu leaving.

14 years...and they scored early on as well thats whats annoying also..18 mins or so in and the rest we just flapped around getting no where Maybe though next season we'll win at Old Trafford seeing as things are now changing!! Only 13 years over due.
-
How times are changing, we are falling that far we are gifting wins to teams who haven't beaten us at home in years and years Teams fighting relegation are coming and taking points. There isn't one fighter or leader in the side, just big wage collecting tossers passing through

Never seen us lose to the barcodes at SB until yesterday. Shambolic club mismangement, and the frustrating thing is the amount of money spunked away

It is just INSANE how utter SHITE our core-of-core (GK, CB, CF) spinal buys have been, (other than Pedro at CF and maybe maybe maybe Penders at GKer) ever since BlueCo took over IF Penders ends up a bust, and we do not buy Diogo Costa (by far the best remotely avaiable GKer out there under 32yo) and we then also pass on the other top 5 (of the top 6 remotely available GKers under 32yo) GKers out there atm (Gregor Kobel, Bart Verbruggen, Mile Svilar, Robin Roefs, and Guillaume Restes) then we are WELL FUCKED. CB is potentially in even worse shape. IF Colwill is perma wrecked (a real possibility, unfortunately, we will know this by the end of next season), and IF Sarr and Anselmino turn out to be busts, we, at that point, likely have ZERO acceptable starting CBs and most of the others are semi-dross to pure dogshit. I simply do not see us buying 2 (or even one) class CBs, due to both our looming financial problems and also due to us being unable to convince WC CBs to come and join this shitshow. Finally, IF Pedro either collapses or is seriously injured, then CF is almost for sure, at that point, even worse off than GKer or CB, unless Dastan Satpaev is truly some wunderkind. FUCK BLUECO and their shit board.

This is what didnt get when there was the whole we can catch Villa never mind..erm to do that we need to win games 🤣 even if they lose today theyre still 3 ahead! End of day we'll no doubt be 6th and think there we will stay. Our saving grace has been teams around us also poor cause with our amazing 13 wins we should be miles behind.
-
Yes we are going down the spurs road, and it's all the fault of management. They can sack manager often but don't take responsibility for the their idiotic decisions. Spurs also won the EL and a good management would build on that but they destroy their chances as we have done after last summer I agree with @Vesperthis group that bought us will now not care about the situation and will look just to sell, sell, sell after year 6 or so.

There was someone here comparing him with Saliba before the season started 🤣

you mean top 5 (and thus CL) is likely over there is, unfortunately, a real chance we end up with only 54 to 57 points max IF Villa beat Manure today, then they are already on 54 points and are 90 per cent (given their schedule remaining) likely to end up in the top 5 even IF Manure loses to Villa, they are still VERY likely finishing 3rd, 4th at worst, as they have a crazy easy schedule remaining, IF they beat Villa, they are almost a pure lock for 3rd (Carrick deffo gets my Manager Of The Year in the EPL award) I think they end up with at least 70 points a draw helps Manure more, but Villa will take the point from now on, other than when we play them at SB, I do not care if Manure win out, especially versus Villa and Pool (those 3 games are the only 'hard' games they have left by far our best hope of getting 5th is catching Pool, barring a profound Villa collapse (IF Villa win today v Manure, forget about it) Pool will likely crush Spuds today and thus be 3 points clear of us with 8 games to go BUT their schedule is easier than ours the only 'hard' games they have left are 3 (all in a row, at the end of the season) away to Manure home versus us (we lose that ZERO chance we can catch them) away to Villa (the 2nd to last game of the year, they finish home v Brentford, their 4th hardest game left IMHO, but one they likely win)

I said to my son exactly what I have been saying on here, we will buy the Liam Delap type players and fees and loan middle of the road shite from Strasbourg and that is where it will be. In two years time I see this club flouncing around 10-15th place every season, no cups or titles, just nothingness season after season
-
I have given up going, and I said before I watch from behind the sofa, that is how it is. I watch now expecting nothing, and after yesterday this club is as in the gutter as it comes.

True but they dont need to do anything really as already won and are through soooo maybe they'll just not try too hard . Okay more like a disaster... another 5? Another 4?
-
I'm gutted he's stayed fit
-
Top 4 is over now, Villa, United and Liverpool are way above us in terms of consistency In less than a week our season is over and the worst thing is on Tuesday it could be embarrassing The project puppet has now firmly lost the new manager bounce, now we will see how exposed he gets, the players are now starting to chuck it and you can see it from the PSG game and yesterday, the faith has gone again and he's lost the players
-
He has to go. It isn't like he is ever going to come good.
-
Whos going to buy him? The only hope is that Marseille or some French club give him a chance but it'll probably be a super low fee as they know he's injury prone.
-
Someone should pull up that pre season highlight where it was Tosin or Badiashile and the ball is about to cross the line and instead of trying to clear it, they just watch it go over the line. Our defenders have no commitment, not willing to get dirty like your JT, Cahill, Luiz, Ivanovic. They just want to recycle possession and show that they are 'trying' to help the team. Fofana did nothing the whole game and then goes up for corners and starts trying bicycle kicks.
-
Over the next 3 years I can easily see us losing Caicedo, Cucurella, Estevão, Enzo, João Pedro, and the collapsing Palmer. BlueCo will never replace them with equal quality ALREADY PROVEN veteren players. They will be replaced with teens and wild dice roles. I am going to take a break from listing targets and also Chels buy news rumours. It all seems pointless atm. No truly top players will want to come here under BlueCo and their conveyor belt of puppets and assclowns.
-
Well thats it I had enough of all this mentally destroying club . I will continue to watch games without any aspirations or thoughts of we "must win today". Just take it as it comes. To drop home points against all these clubs is im afraid unforgivable. Billions wasted. Sack all responsible before they destroy the club.

Everton away could be the end for our top 4 chances. What a waste of a season. Can't wait for this season to be over.
-
You don't need a world class coach to come in, sometimes as a coach you also need to figure out how to get the best out of the players in the squad. Just look at Howe at Newcastle, they haven't been great this season and their big name signing wasn't exactly lighting it up as a striker, so they decided to use him as more of a midfielder. Just looking at the lineup that was put out in the 2nd half against Newcastle, who actually thought Garnacho - Pedro - Delap was going to get us a goal with Palmer not in form at all? Then you make a sub of Caicedo for Lavia? And then you throw on Hato at LB for no reason?
-
I can see us completely collapsing and only winning 3 of our remaining games: 1. Port Vale at SB (and us them getting battered in the next round if we draw any temotely decent side as our opponents) 2. Forest at SB (May 2nd) 3. Spuds at SB (May 17th) I can see us getting crushed in many of the other games. We have a real shot at ending up back in the Conference League, and maybe missing out on even that. Rosenior is completely out of his puppet depth, and no decent manager will agree to come here and work under the assfuck paradigm erected by the BlueCo clown-twats. They may well have destroyed us as a top 20-25 UEFA club for a decade plus if we are not even remotely sorted out come the end of the 2026/27 season. No CL equals no remotely adequate FOS sponsor, which means hundreds of millions in lost revenue over the next multiple years. No new stadium until 2040 or so means over 1 billion quid in lost revenue by then. We also will have to start liquidating some of our most valuable players to comply with the new, far stricter EPL FFP rules coming into effect, on top of the UEFA FFP. At some point BlueCo may just pull the plug and extract as much money as possible and then just sell off the remaining rump of the club at a slashed price. That is exactly what private equity pirates do, especially the yank ones, who are the worst of the worst. We brought in the devil and we may well burn for it moving forward. Not good. Not good at all, I fear.
