From what I understand, it's now Moses who is leaving. Having Mata, Hazard, De Bruyne, Oscar, Willian and Schürrle is crazy depth really. Hope Jose knows what he's doing and is able to keep all six of them happy when they're competing for three places in the team.

He doesn't need to keep them all happy, he pick players on merit so if any of them are good enough, they will start over each other. Or if they all work hard he will rotate all the time like he did with Benzema/Higuain at Madrid. And if they don't like it? The door is always open to go no matter who they are.

We have Schurrle who can play and has pace(!) and even KDB can play at RW.

He's not like Willian though. Schurrle has pace for the counter attack, to get in behind people. Willian is like Hazard and can beat people off the dribble, we don't have that anywhere else if Moses leaves.

It's crazy to have 6 good players for 3 positions, but there will be a crazy amount of rotation and Jose will have all of them buy into the fact, the team comes first.

He got less than 20 goals but I understand what you are saying. I am not hating any Chelsea player. I can see beyond sentimental ideas that most of the fans on here share all the time. Sometime the best choice isn't the obvious or easy choice.

Let's say Oscar, Hazard and Willian all gonna have an amazing season, do we really gonna need Mata anymore? Don't forget when he was the star man in 11/12, NO BODY WAS AS CREATIVE AS HIM. Fuck me we had Malouda instead of Hazard and Yossi instead of Oscar. In 2012/13 there were those 2 but now we got Kevin and Schurrle, who are both great players so we don't need Mata as much anymore, we need Rooney or a top class striker leading the line because that is what we have been missing for quite some time now. And if it mean getting rid of Mata? So be it.

Perhaps he does bring different quality to the team BUT like you said, it's crazy to have 6 quality players for 3 different positions. Gonna create a problem to manage and rotate them, even probably for Jose himself. You always likely need 1-2 players below that 'quality' level a bit to even things up and make it easier to keep everyone happy and manage them. And besides, purchasing Willian won't solve our immediate problem in the squad. Just merely reinforcing arguably our strongest area in the squad.

Agreed then we are actually set for the next 4-5 years in attacking and mid department.
