Ray. 217
How do you do your shopping, do you buy via the internet or do you prefer to buy on the high street?I was shocked, but not surpised to find a branch of HMV in Oxford street in London has now closed and was told that 60 stores nationwide are due to close. I guess it's due to the increased demand for downloading music on the internet and the slow decline of CD's. You can buy almost anything on the internet. Is there a need for shops in the high street anymore? I would say yes as you need to be able to interact with people, but also there are certain items I would be wary of buying on the internet, things like spectactles, clothes and shoes. All things that you need to try on, have fitted to your individual needs before you buy. Would be interested to hear what your thoughts are. Will there be a time when shops will disappear altogether? Term-X 7,891
Internet, Obviously.Buying clothes is simple enough. If you want exact measurements, just measure yourself. Because most websites have measurement guidelines.
LDN Blue 7,903
Depends what the thing is. Clothes & shoes I'd usually go in store for size guarantee and all that. I only buy music when it's a true classic. I buy the CD's off Play.com, so far I've got;Illmatic - Nas Chronic 2001 - Dr. Dre Distant Relatives - Nas & Damien MarleyLet's Get Free - Dead PrezGames & electronics I buy online, because you'll get much better offers and deals online. Sales are more online now, Play.com, Amazon & eBay have become revelations in e-commerce.
chrismada9 1,948
High Street 100% But like LDN Blue said, it depends what you want to order, if you have to get something shipped to you because you can't get it locally, then normally you'd want to get it online, but nowhere is safe nowadays when it comes to issueing your card details online. Fraud comes to mind! I like to stay well clear of that!
Term-X 7,891
but nowhere is safe That view is now extremely dated.Just use sites that display safety certificates then, if you have good internet security i don't see the problem.

Wilson 358
If you want a bargain, online is the way. If you want it immediately then high street.
