i don't think the idea of stability is enough to let carlo stay , the man has proved time and time again that he is really poor tactically , he can't read games and more importantly he can't get the best out of his players .

add that to the fact that he has no balls to stand in the faces of big players , some would say he had won the players and the dressing room but i would say those players has owned carlo and won the dressing room .

CA had a team filled with world-class players in his eight years at Milan (except for his last year)

Ever heard of Shevchenko, Inzaghi, Crespo, Kaka, Rui Costa and Seedorf?

Where was Rui Costa in 06?

All of them bar Kaka are oldies.. In 06 Milan had a crisis. Sheva and Crespo weren't there in 06 if I'm right..

Just say that Inter are world class too..

What tonight brought back memories of was the first leg if the Inter vs Chelsea tie from last years Cahmpions League, we looked fairly toothless offensively and got caught out badly defensively.

What are you talking about? OllieCFC said CA was at Milan, as in his eight years at Milan, during their golden era and you're talking about a single year?

And Milan had a crisis in 06 yet they won the CL in '07?

at least against inter we were able to blame the fact that the real special one on the other end was very familiar with our football and knew how to play against chelsea , also they had some great players like cesar , lucio , milito , eto , snieder ,maicon

but a team made of shrek , vidic and vandersar isn't supposed to beat us !

Milan had a golden era in the last decade? Strange..

They never invested in their team proprely..

I think that many Milan fans said that they had a crisis with strikers in 06..Only one was fit or something like that..Maybe I'm wrong.

He managed AC Milan from 2001-2009. AC Milan were a fucking top team then with great players. Fuck 2006, fuck now, fuck next year whatever..... AC Milan between 2001 - 2009 were a dominant world powerhouse of a team and they would've been regardless of who was in charge.

Maldini, Nesta, Pirlo, Costacurta to name more.

Are you serious?

They had the likes of Dida (back when he was world-class), Nesta, Maldini, Pirlo, Gattuso, Seedorf, Rui Costa, Shevchenko, Pato, Inzaghi in their team (through the years). Wouldn't you call that team world-class?

You're confusing me right now. Why do you keep hammering on that 06 year?

What I do know is that in the 06/07 season they mostly played with one striker (Inzaghi) and Kaka played the supporting striker role and they won the CL that season. After that, their team started to decline. But he was the manager of a team that was without a doubt world-class for 6 years (2001-2007), you could argue about the quality of the team in two following years.

In 2003 CL final he left Rivaldo on the bench...that Milan team was stellar. Miles better than any of Chelseas squads in Roman's years.

Maldini was a shadow of himself in his last couple of years.

Those names.. It's the same as if I wrote.. He had Lampard, Drogba, Malouda and Anelka in his time.. It is clear that Lampard and Drogba aren't playing their best now..but they are fameous names.

They have (had) some grat players but as a squad Milan weren't good..Those players were injured too, weren't they?

Agree.

And how could I forget about Rivaldo, he also had Cafu (one the best right-backs ever).

Eldo, you realise that You are bullshiting. Milan had a great team in the first half of the decade and Carlo managed to win only one scudetto.

In 2007 they had Kaká, who was only the best player in the world at that moment. So find another arguments to support the italian.

Agree.

That squad was fucking good. Even the 2005 team was terrific.

I give up. Your arguments make it clear you never watched those teams he had in that 2001-2007 period because no one can deny the class of those teams he had, if you do, you possess no football knowledge at all.

And about Maldini, he was still absolute class until the year 2005 or 2006.

Yeah I remember that team. Kaka started to become a international football star, they had the great Jaap Stam at the back..

Miss those times, there were a lot more topteams back then. Top football started to decline around that time.

Silvio never let Carlo make an outstanding team.. You guys sait that they had a golden team.. Bunch of players in their mid 30s isn't an outstanding team..
