BlueLion. 21,491
But that's a free-kick, he had all the time in the world, and doing that doesn't take the genius technique in which Zidane had to perform.I don't intend to offend you or script this like an insult, but you really don't understand the game if you honestly think that goal took more skill. The amount of skill involved doesn't make it a better goal. Eidur Gudjohnsen's overhead kick against Leeds took even more skill than that Zidane volley, as the ball was behind him and he had to adjust himself to score. But that doesn't make it a better goal, does it? The same can be said of Ronaldinho's goal against us in 2005. That finish was unbelievable. And you say free-kicks don't take genius technique... why don't you get your boots on and try and do the same I play football once a week with my cousin, who is an Aston Villa youth trainee, and every time he hits volleys equally as good as that Zindane one. Whether you choose to believe that or not is up to you. I'm not denying it takes immense skill to score a volley like that (I certainly can't do it), but for all my cousin's ability to score goals similar to that, can he emulate a freekick to the quality of Juninho or Almeida in Mario's post? Can he bollocks. It's all down to what you personally think to be a better goal. I quite honestly believe inch-perfect headers require more technical ability than volleys, but that's my opinion and I don't try and impose that as fact. But in terms of technical ability, you can all bow down to the magnificent Gregory Coupét, Zindane can't do that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iieYg7Sm8FM

zolayes 14,489
since the original topic has been well and truly hijacked suggest the title is changed to "best goal Ive seen"...pity because the topic couldhave led to a good discussion rather than a you tube compilation of goals. Term-X 7,891
To score a great goal in one of many league games, or a lower division grass roots kick about is one thing. But to pull off such a grandiose inhuman finish in a Champions League Final, is another.
