Should they abandon England ?

It seems the media have told the England fans that we don't need either after the 2 victories v second rate opposition. The red supporting media have mentioned several times that England play better without them Specifically, Terry is too slow , and Lampard cant play with, and is not as good as Gerrard.

I think they should knock it on the head ala Scholes, and Ashley Cole as well while we're at it. Let Bridge play....

I'm not English so I don't know if my opinion counts, but I think JT and Lampsey would never abandon England if it was left to them, they are much too classy and loyal to do something like that.

Yes, they never recieve any praise, only St.Even Gerrard and Rooney can get it even if they are crap.

They will be called up at the next opportunity, obviously with them being our best players I'd rather they weren't though.

Terry and Lampard are (presumably) honoured to play for their country and always talk how proud they are to play for England; I can't see them retiring, although I wish they would. I cringe every time I see one of them tackled when watching England.

Despite being Scottish, they should stab Capello in the back on focus on Chelsea like Drogba and Essien. Not having a go at England, realistically they won't win the World Cup or Euros. I've never understood how Gerrard can't play with Lampard though. Is Gerrard to blame for Lampard having a terrible Englabd career? Because not being bias, Lampard is a better player than Gerrard. Also, Terry should never have being stripped from captaincy. Gerrard done a terrible job in World Cup and he has years of captaincy experience behind him like JT. At least JT can get his country/team through a group stage!

I want Lampard to so he can extend his career. I don't want Terry too because I don't want all these other "fans" to have the satisfaction of thinking that their boo's forced him out. With Lampard and Terry retiring our contribution to the England team will be only Ashley Cole. For the Champions of England, that's quite appalling :\

BBC saying this morning that no way should they be considered for the Montenegro game. ''They are the 'old guard' and have to make way for new blood.''

The 'football expert' on R5 said Gerrard plays twice as good without Lampard in the centre, is an exemplary captain ''on and off the pitch''. (Obviously pummeling someone in a bar, and shagging 16 year olds(allegedly) is exemplary behaviour.)
