I bet you could have made it pro then. The closest I got was almost being offered a trial by Fulham when I was 13

Maybe, maybe not...

I never wanted to become a pro, so I will never know. I was offered a "spot" in Palmeiras Academy when I was 14-15, but I declined to go to my full period high school.

P.S: Being in an Academy in Brazil doesnt mean much, half of the population tries it at least once. :P

Come on, it doesn't get even near 50%.

No it doesnt, but I meant that a lot of people are 'federados'....

I have seen a ton of 'ordinary' people (great, but not spetacular) in Football Academies. When I say I am not good, it doesnt mean I suck. I played football a lot and I was never one of the last to be chosen, but I was never the very first one as well. It is nothing impressive to be in Palmeiras, Corinthians, Sao Paulo, Portuguesa, etc. It is to become pro with them, but not to be in one of the inumerous youth academies they have throughout the city.

It is really hard to categorize what 'good' means. In Brazil, we always have that amazing dude that can do all the tricks and everything; in any company, college, school there is/are the guy who totally rock. When I say I am not good it means I am not near their level. However, I dont know how things are in other countries.

:D
