LAM09 7,061
That's very harsh on Willian. He is more than capable of playing in the #10 role. In fact he has been at his best whenever he has played there. In your opinion, but I disagree. Cesc should be playing the #10 role.
Hybrid Angel 2,130
In your opinion, but I disagree. Cesc should be playing the #10 role.Playing there as if it would be his regular position in the team from now on? That is no no for me and I think the majority of this forum would agree with me on that. It's obvious as day we need Cesc deeper to control the tempo of the game. The only reason he gets pushed up to the #10 role on big games is because he gets pressed heavily when is playing deep. He isn't very impressive there either because he doesn't touch the ball very often. Signing Aranguiz would be very good because he can take the pressure away from Cesc and those two have the intelligence to play in a two-man central midfield. Imo Cesc is only good in the #10 role when we are playing a defensive/weaker team.

I don't think he would be the answer.Cesc is the only player we have that can score or assist on a regular basis in that area of the field, but a quality CM/AM signing would change my stance. !Hazard! 3,394
I would really like to see this lad make it here and even play a decent role next season.LW: Hazard, CuadradoCAM: Oscar, Willian, Cesc, Loftus-CheekRW: Pedro, TraoreFor me that would seem like a very balanced AM-department. Quality-wise it would still lose out on few clubs in Europe but it is enough to win the PL and CL imo.

But the odds would be against us.. just look at the AMs RM, Bayern and Barca have.

I would prefer signing Robben or Bale over Pedro but that lad also is quality and the personification of consistency. He is like Azpilicueta of right wingers But I do think that set of players would offer plenty of different combinations and remember that we also have Costa, Falcao and possibly clinical Remy upfront so it really doesn't look that bad! IMO it all depends whether we are able to sign a classy box-to-box midfielder. But since this is Traore topic, lets see what the lad can do during the pre-season! He is special kid and could become our Kane this season.

Unionjack 7,531
I really havent seen much of him only Youtubes but some good things said about him.We really dont have a good experience generally using guys we have bought and sent out on loan after buying them with high expectations. chelseawise 115
I have been following Bertrand Traore's progress since our Asian tour some while back when he played well. I honestly believe this guy is going to become bigger than Hazard and our star man within 2-3 years. He has tremendous vision and skills to match. I really hope Mourinho give him match time, or loan him to big EPL team. I would hate to see him warm up bench or play in reserve team, as he is too good of a talent for that.I am curious how others feel about him. Chelsea_firstlove 178
If Mourinho really want B. Traore in his squad, he must sell Remy and don't sign new LW. 4th choice of FW and 3rd choice of LW, his season will be destroy.
Unionjack 7,531
I know its impossible but it would be great to be able to have no pressure at all, say like a mid table PL side, so we could do all the things we would love to do. Like using the lads like him who have glimpses of being very good or putting in our good academy lads. But we have too much pressure and expectations on us to do that and I dont think theres an easy answer to be able to do it.Its a shame we dont have a 'B' team as that would solve alot of problems but we dont so its either send them out on the loanagoround or take a gamble and if they dont make it in the years chance theyre given then they go again. jasonlol 154
was impressive today; scored twice in the mini match and one was a sniper shot bottom left corner. an actual right winger thats left footed and can finish.

However, Hazard is a potential Ballon D'or winner for Traore to displace him as our top dog he'd have to be a Ballon D'or winner! I think you've set the bar a little high but I do think he can be a special player if his growth isn't stunted

Hybrid Angel 2,130
Pretty much guaranteed he is staying according to Mourinho. He said he has five wingers and also mentioned it's better for Salah to leave. So it becomes: Hazard, Willian, Cuadrado, Moses, and Traore.Personally I'm happy with this. If Moses leaves and Pedro comes in it would be even better.

supporter 3,088
Can Bertrand Traoré seize his chance on Chelsea’s pre-season tour? Link. http://metro.co.uk/2015/07/20/can-bertrand-traore-seize-his-chance-on-chelseas-pre-season-tour-5303174/#ixzz3gSiwLb9G-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Maybe Jose wants to bet on Traore as right-winger along this season. For me, I prefer to bet on Traore than sing Pedro Rodriguez. This year we do not have anxiety / obsession to win trophies like last season and maybe we can bet on the youth to regenerate our team.Players like Zouma, Ruben Loftus-Cheek (maybe Stones) and Traore can be our surprise for this season, with Cahill (or John Terry), Ramires (maybe Witsel) and Willian as veteran solution for the matches where Jose prefers to bet on veteran players. The season is long and to fight for every trophy we need to use all our squad.Maybe this preseason is a good time to see how they can or can not play with us. Regards.
