Footie Boss Wise Questioned By Police

Updated:12:59, Thursday January 03, 2008

Leeds United manager Dennis Wise has been interviewed by police after he chased a youth who allegedly threw stones at his car.

Wise, who is 41, jumped from his vehicle when it came under attack as he was driving home from a restaurant.

He apparently chased and tackled a teenager but could not hold on to him.

The incident happened in Leeds in the early hours of New Year's Day, as Wise was driving home with his heavily pregnant wife Claire, their two young children and his mother-in-law.

It is understood they were returning home to North Yorkshire after a night out in Leeds city centre.
