Jose M 140
Jose Mourinho's New Real Madrid Manager and he's got Lampard and A.Cole at the top of his Shopin List José Mourinho today identified Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole as the type of signings he would like to make at Real Madrid, causing consternation in the boardrooms of Liverpool and Chelsea.Mourinho is poised has succeed Manuel Pellegrini as Real manager, having announced his departure from Internazionale and he sparked intrigue as he name-checked the trio of World Cup-bound England internationals. During his time in charge at Chelsea, he almost signed the Liverpool captain Gerrard while he has retained a close relationship with Lampard and Cole.Cole, 29, is understood to be considering his future in England as he contends with the fall-out from the break-down of his marriage. The left-back feels he is being persecuted by sections of the media. Gerrard, who turns 30 on Sunday, and Lampard, 31, are considered by Mourinho as photo-fit signings in midfield."I like players at the end of their careers," Mourinho said. "I love to have some players who are 33 or 34-years-old. They are players who you buy and you do not recover the money but if they give you good performances for two or three years, you've got your money's worth. Both [Gerrard and Lampard] are great players who always give everything." (Guardian)Jose Mourinho is not a man to do things by half. Still yet to be named as the new Madrista boss the 'Special One' has wasted no time in making a nuisance of himself. He has named two players outright as those he would like to sign knowing full well that doing so will infuriate both Anfield and Stamford Bridge camps. He and Real Madrid go together like two things that go really well together.Ashley Cole had of course already been linked with a move to the La Liga giants long before it became clear that the former Chelsea boss was set for the job. This summer looks like being a busy one with a whole new line of Galaticos set to be named, what then do they do with the last load they brought in?Remember Real spent upwards of £200m last summer and one wonders if they may just outspend that obscene total this time around. These three English internationals must be worth a good £85m on their own then of course there will be just about every Inter Milan player who will no doubt be linked with a move to follow their boss out the San Siro door.Do you think they will leave? gary gordon 1,777
Ok... Cole is a 50% chance if they offer him some decent coin. Lampard, I don't think so.. Not in this lifetime...
BlueLion. 21,491
I think Cole may go, I'm not sure if his heart is at Chelsea or not.Lampard, on the other hand, I cannot possibly contemplate him leaving because it simply will not happen. BlueLion. 21,491
Don't take any of these reports seriously until after the World Cup. 99% of our players will want to focus on the tournament rather than sorting out their club futures.

LDN Blue 7,903
I don't think either of them are going anywhere.Ashley Cole's worked hard to get the fans on his side, which we are, and he's even said he's at Chelsea to win things (which we are)Lampard's loyalty to Chelsea is unquestionable. He's not going anywhere.
BlueLion. 21,491
If Cole goes who would replace him at left back?Yuri Zhirkov.
.sum41 229
Bosingwa can play at left-back position,I rather more him than Zhirkov.
BlueLion. 21,491
Seriously? Why play a right-footer at left-back when you have someone who is one of the best attacking full-backs in the league in Zhirkov?
HRiver 1,512
Indeed. How many times have him and Malouda played together though? Wonder how the game would go with them both on the left.
LDN Blue 7,903
If Cole goes who would replace him at left back?Ivanovic is no stranger to the Left-back role remember! When we played Barcelona at home last season, Ashley Cole was suspended, Ivanovic (imo anyway) did a brilliant job vs Messi
.sum41 229
Bosingwa play class on both positions,he was fantastic against Barcelona as we saw.He better than Zhirkov in defence,Zhirkov in this component is honestly bad.
BlueLion. 21,491
Categorically disagree with that. Watch the home match against Internazionale, it would have been 3-0 or 4-0 if Yuri hadn't have played. He's brilliant and the most underrated player in our squad, so much so his own supporters don't recognise how good he is!

I'll admit when I saw £18million paid for him I was a bit weary, but the way he played in Ashley Cole's absence was terrific.. He's got good pace, and defensively he can keep it tight at the back. His game against Bolton was great to watch, even a bloody mess, with the blood pouring through the bandage he continued till half time giving 100%.
