gary gordon 1,777
I am going for Ghana. If Ivory Coast lose then theres a good chance of getting Drogs and kalou back sooner than expected. Your thoughts?

We Hate Scouse 10,326
Ghana, because I got good odds on them to win!
Steve 10,227
Honestly, i dont really mind. Let the better team win. This tournament means alot to the african players. I know if ghana wins we may get drogs back earlier but it would be sad to see one of the best strikers in the world lose out on winning a trophy with his country. Steve 10,227
Both Kalou and Drogba in the starting line up for Ivory Coast. But Michael Essien sitting on the bench.
Blueboy 14
Ivory Coast is through to the quarter finals. Ghana has to win against Burkina Faso, otherwise we'll have Essien back within a week time .
Drogba11CFC 108
High expectations for Ghana too, they got to the semis last time out.
Rubber bullets 1,183
Even though Drogba scored, he was hardly in the match, Kalou was more involved then him.Plus, has anyone seen Kalou's haircut?
We Hate Scouse 10,326
Drogba injured Essien.......
Blueboy 14
FFS, just read it about Essien. But we already coped without him for a certain period....Though i'd rather have him in our team ofcourse.
Rubber bullets 1,183
Drogba injured Essien.......Well to be honest, Ess' heel dug too much into the turf (horrible pitch it looked like) when his leg extended.

TylerCFC 7
I haven't seen any of the ACN. How bad was Essiens injury and how long will he be out for?

Hes just not match fit and should not of been playing 45 minutes. The tackle that drogs did on him could of been alot worse. It wasnt on purpose its just the way essiens leg looked after it. He should be ok.
BlueLion. 21,491
He was running around after his injury, but not as freely as usual. We have to appreciate he has only just come back from injury anyway, so no wonder he was a little sheepish with some of his movements. I reckon he'll be fine.I just hope Ghana draw or lose with Burkina Faso so we get him back. If he is indeed injured, Chelsea's medical facilities are better than anything there is in Angola.
