Tomo 21,751
I was being somewhat sarcastic but okay....The last player he threw in without PL experience would probably be Nick Powell. Then there's Rafael....maybe Buttner? Then you look around their squad and they've got Smalling (13 PL games before going to United), Jones (a season at Blackburn), De Gea and Fletcher. Next season you'll probably see Wilfred Zaha part of the first-team squad too.But you have a point that he's living off the reputation of the '92 squad.....although bringing through one of the greatest generation of youngsters ever and letting them form the backbone of your squad for 15 years of fairly constant success does tend to stick in the mind.Yes Nani and Anderson have failed to live up to expectations - but who will replace them in the squad next season? Cleverley, Zaha and Powell. It's interesting that you bring up Pogba considering he and Chalobah were the two standout performers in the Youth Cup a few years back. We're just lucky Chalobah is under contract. They still had PL games tho, Fergie wouldn't have signed him straight from Maidenhead. De Gea had top flight experience, if we credit him for that then Jose should get credit for Cech.Powell has only played twice so far this season in the league (6 times overall). Josh McEachran got more than that when he was younger than Powell is now. Cleverly was 23 and on the back off a PL loan before Fergie used him.Yes it does stick to the mind, but say for argument sake Lampard and some mythical world class forward came though at the same time as JT and was the spine for our recent success, would that justify our bad youth record the last decade? Ankit 3,176
Kevin Keatings said Chalobah was 19 years old in the first half, he now says that he is 18 years in the second half. Top class commentary.

Fabio didn't have PL games. Darron Gibson didn't have PL games. Darren Fletcher didn't have PL games. Zeki Fryers didn't have PL games. Macheda didn't have PL games. There's a lot of players who got starts for United in the league without going on loan in the PL first. The reason I used United as an example was mainly because I think Chalobah would get a shot at the first-team next season if he was there. I've watched this kid for years and he's impressive on every single level. He's a proper professional and he'd add something to our first-team that we're lacking whilst also setting an example to some of the younger players. Magic Lamps 11,692
Chalobah is just such a class act. We really have to keep hold of him. He will be ready for us next year but his contract runs out 2014, too.

DDA 9,941
This Chalobah really is a class act.. looks miles better than Mikel. What is it with us loaning out better players than what we have in our squad!!

He looked almost Toure-esque at times.Such a special player.
ja1 1,166
Watford creators of their own fall then, two very soft goals to concede. Unlucky that they had to put out their third 'keeper, but still..Chalobah had a good game I thought, he has a great touch and looked too fast for his team-mates at times. He is not a DM, don't underestimate the damage he can do in the final third, would definitely suit a box to box role best. I liked how he didn't shy away from the game, we all knew he wouldn't but you could tell he really wanted to win, natural leader.
