The Big Drog 1,110
Fit , no injury concerns , playing under a manager he respects with a new contract in hand , Drogba looks absolutely on fire. After having an excellent pre season he has brought that form to the season. Granted his finishing and some of his passing yesterday could have been better. However his link up play and some of his killer passes were gems , he was a constant threat , was always involved in the game , used all of his big physical presence and scored 2 vital goals. All in all a good day for Drogba and I think there is better yet to come.
BlueLion. 21,491
I think he was excellent if I'm honest, he was immense defensively. You don't get that with many other forwards. On another day he could have had four goals; but for a difficult early chance and some sublime goalkeeping.
Laylabelle 9,534
I just hope yeh he can keep off the play acting and nice to see the 6 mins injury time was nout to do with him rolling around. And his free kick was pretty damn good!
NattyBlue 44
Ok so if Drogba was bad then how are people rating Anelka atm? Jesus drog was great in the game when he had his moments, his first touches were great
Rambo 1,729
I was yelling at the top of my lungs when Anelka couldn't finish from the Drogba ball. He was wide and decided to lightly tap it towards to goalkeeper. Way to go Nico, better luck next game.

TBF to Anelka, the ball was sort of stuck under his feet and he hadnt time to readjust.

warnie_666 1,081
Watching the game today I noticed that I was witnessing the lesser spotted Drogba, last seen several seasons ago terrorising defences up and down the country.I know its only one game, but today he looked like he was completely focused. There wasnt any sign of his "balance deficiency" he's been plagued by in the past. It wasnt his most vintage of games, but on that performance alone I'm very optimistic about the season ahead. When he's on his game here are few who can touch him.Keep it up big man. I wouldnt get excited this early......He had an ordinary game, couldnt finish well apart from a free kick and a fluke goal which was a supposed cross. He was in a much cracking form during the Hiddink Rein. A Top form Drogba would have had a Hattrick yesterday....But still I think this is just the beginning he will get into the groove in the next two three games.Infact, none of our three attackers had a top game. Lampard had a poor game giving the ball away too many times, Anelka should have had a goal but couldnt finish, Mikel was poor. Deco had a good game though so did Ballack.Id rather have us grwo game after game than what hapapened last season where we started brilliantly and faded away by december. The best part of yesterday's game was that we never gave up till the end and got an injury time winner which we never saw during Scolari's Era. Thats a HALLMARK of a title winning side. Winning games which were potential draws.
