And he went on to make 98 more.. Who else did that? Uh that's right.. No-one.

Oh you mean the man who has 99 hundreds and NONE included in the Highly respected wisden list? Fact of the matter is he IS a LEGEND. I acknowledge that but is not greatest. The giggs of cricket. He is not a perfect batsmen, to be one, he has to be perfect in every sector. In test I rate Dravid better than him, as do many. Tend's test S/R is 32. For me he is clearly playing for the accolades now. Its obvious. I'm not doubting his status even Nasser Hussain believes he's playing for the stats. His last hundred was last march but I know he'll never stop until he reaches it. Credit to his fitness levels but you cannot conincee me to him being the best. I'd say Ponting is better being a brilliant batter and a great captain who's led aussies to WC. BTW are you Indian/heritage that might explain a lot haha. I saw you support India :P

He may be playing for the stats now, but what he's done in his prime has been for the nation. I agree, and also made the point before, Dravid is a shining batsman in the squad forced into Tendulkar's shadow. Most Indian fans acknowledge this, but that doesn't change Tendulkar's status either. He's a man who's innings have brought us back into matches that we looked almost certain of losing. He plays the game with grace, elegance, seldom loses his anger or get confrontational. I believe he's the greatest batsman of this generation, and perhaps of all time (though the latter is more debatable). I am of Indian decent, my great-grandparents were from there :)

lol makes sense :D I respect how he's maintained his fitness for many years and greatness is subjective to an extent. If you support india it goes without saying so many of my indian friends believe like you.

 we're all accustomed to having Tendulkar as our idol, legend, cricket god. Not without facts backing that either. :P

  • 2 weeks later...

Humiliating day for India. Laxman and Dravid should have been dropped and young guys must be given a chance instead. I don't follow cricket a lot but where is Ajit Agarkar? He was a great swing bowler, has he been anywhere near the Indian squad lately? I feel he would have done well this series.

Sachin's Ton with a 4-0 white wash? I dont give a fuck no more...I am sure India is going to celebrate like they won the world cup for the second time within a year. Thats India and Indians for you and I hate that attitude. Id tell the Indian Team to Fuck Off....
