you just a whining sore loser who can`t be graceful in defeat and has used excuse after excuse throughout the series rather than accept being beaten by a better team.

i`ll save my breath and fingers typing and will continue to talk with the indian fans who have more class.is like talking football with a scouser when talking cricket with you.

I said comeback when you find out the last time England beat india.

You conveniently missed the part where I said England deserve to beat us. It's one thing to be gracious in defeat and another To accept the team that beat us deserve to be no.1 Specially when they haven't beaten any team bar Bangladesh in subcontinent for over a decade

not atall England fans are the first to say their team are bad when they are..just look at the England football team thread on here..been knocking the England team for decades and applauding the opposition when they beat us.

every tour England go on they play in conditions they are not used to playing at home..India play home and away series in conditions that favour them.

i explained some of the reasons why England don`t tour as often as we used to ,it having nothing to do with being scared to face you in your favorite conditions..but that crap got turned around as a diversion to take away from the present fact that England are spanking India. now!!! never mind the past..or give it the oh wait till next time in a couple of years...that`s how scousers talk..

i can`t wait for that time to come but ya really think if this was happening in India you`d be stopping your celebrations if we starting whining about the dustbowl pitch..this England team can actually play spin these days and will prove that next time they are in the subcontinent. your usual 1-0 "thrashing" will be harder to get.

world number 1 we having a laugh. it don`t matter what a few bitter lemons gotta say about it,the same method of rankings that got them to number 1 have England there now.

never mind folks, you won`t be our rivals after today barring a miracle. then you can do your scouse talk to the Springboks instead.. :blue scalf:

Love how you're getting so defensive over it that you feel the need to start calling us names. Probably says something about the situation.

Warnie and I both complimented England for beating us and beating us well, but it is a fact, not opinion, not conjecture, but fact that England last won a series in the subcontinent in 2003. And that was against Bangladesh. Make of that what you will.

Haha, it's only fair, we've done our fair share of milking it

I'm kind of happy this happened, gives the BCCI a reality check and see their approach for India's game has neglected their Test game. In ODI & perhaps T20, we're untouchable (I still hope), but lately our test match side hasn't been the best. We barely beat West Indies (they were a real result of their own downfall).

Dravid proved he still warrants a place in this test squad. England will admit he was their most difficult obstacle. I think Laxman should retire, Dhoni needs to take a step back and really look at himself and I find myself questioning Sehwag's abilities in test match cricket. We've got good young players ready to step up; Kholi, Dhawan, Mukund ect. Raina's been one of our youth success stories, maybe it's time to start the stories of others.

In the bowling department, we really have to promote Varun Aaron now! Incredible pace!

LDN you seem to have a good knowledge of indian domestic cricketers and indian cricket in general inspite of being brought up in UK.

Is this with all Brit Indians? Do they support indian cricket more?

I know Michael Vaughn once said that Bopara needs to get his priorities right when playing for England and stop idolizing Sachin while he is on field. Not to mention Panesar giving Sachin some practice in the nets as well

Who? First time I'm hearing that name.

EDIT : Just realised you mean that kid who played for Delhi I think in the last IPL? Seems raw.

Yep. He's been floating in and out of the spotlight for a while now. He's got magnificent pace, an average of 140kph.

Usually we always compromise pace bowlers, but he's come out and said he won't go down that route, which is respectable because we need a death-pace bowler now. I just hope India will play him, he's in the ODI squad.

Generally there are more British-Indians who support India a lot more than England. For example when we beat Pakistan in the World Cup and then won the subsequent Final, on both days we had street parties in the areas where there's a large Indian community. It was great to be a part of, flags everywhere, we had people dancing, with bhangra playing and people came out with their dhols! Great scenes :)

Some of us take notice of the Indian domestic game too, Ranji Trophy and such. I don't follow the domestic game hugely, but one of my friends does and he tells me a lot about emerging players, like Aaron.

You do get a lot of those "only when they win" fans who could probably only name Tendulkar, Dravid & Dhoni from the squad

Meh I trust the management to mishandle him just like they've done with almost every other fast bowler to come through. We just don't know how to handle them, it's as simple as that. Probably because we've never head a genuine tearaway quick bowler. (apart from Kapil Dev and Srinath in his early days). Look at Munaf who was supposed to be our 145 kmph + bowler. He's been reduced to a poor parody of McGrath. Mohanty, Nehra, Agarkar, VRV, Sreesanth, Ishant, RP all used to touch 140 initially, then injuries set in and they just never get that pace back. There's hope for Ishant though as he's still very very young.

Definitely agree.

Slightly think they did well with Munaf, he's much better with a cut-pace and better line and length. Hopefully (he said, with a pinch of salt) under Fletcher we will see some genuine pace bowling. The one thing he did well with England was keep the pace bowlers, pacy. The likes of Harmison, Jones and even Hoggard who could reach the 89mph mark.

Depends how much lee-way he's actually allowed under this BCCI. For some reason they don't know the difference between being a cricket BOARD and being COACHES.
