I don't think this has ever been convincing. De Rossi is a loyal player, he rejected Man City when he could've doubled his wages and play in a better league just to stay at Roma.

It's a shame mind because we need a central midfielder, it's something we aren't so strong in, but we will probably go buy another centre attacking midfielder instead.

This deal is gone a as far as I know

Chelsea transfer rules is: We always sign player who isn't rumoured with us heavily!

I always thought so now that the Rooney thread is closed down after almost 300 pages of sore rumors
