the wes 7,212
i have being watching the under21's football the last two weeks Mancienne look crap at centre-back when he plays right-back for Chelsea he looks a better player at right-back.... Marc 0
Looks a bit too light-weight to make it as a Centreback primarily in the Prem, would be better at Rightback I think.
EskWeston 696
He's a centre back!!! I would judge Mancienne entire ability based on 1 tournament.....
the wes 7,212
He's a centre back!!! I would judge Mancienne entire ability based on 1 tournament..... a stronger player like Kevin Davies would made Mancienne look like a wee boy.....
chrismada9 1,948
I think his best position is a centreback really.
diskoviolente 425
I think basicially he can play any defense role... I think of JT as a new Desailly concerning Mance !
Rambo 1,729
hes fast enough to be suited as a RB and not strong enough to be a CB.
BlueLion. 21,491
From what I have seen of Mancienne for England-U21 and the Blues reserves; he isn't strong enough to be a centre-back in my opinion; he'd get bullied by a physical striker in the Tevez mold. 5354 204
We can always train up or bulk him up to become a strong CB.
Alee. 182
We can always train up or bulk him up to become a strong CB. Why build a CB if you have a built RB ?
diskoviolente 425
He looked strong today in the final
BlueLion. 21,491
Agreed, he was one of the better players for England this evening. I think he is a very athletic centre back with a good reading of the game, but we saw him bombing forward so often in tonight's game - I think he'd be lethal as a right-back. diskoviolente 425
True, reminded me of JT tbh when the situation in the game is fucked and you need to have players going forward and causing trouble. He really was one of the better players yesterday. Milner looked good as well, where is he playing ?
BlueLion. 21,491
Milner's playing at Villa at the moment. I've always liked him, but I don't think his form is consistent enough to move to a club like Chelsea. Still a good player though.

But Is absoluty a need that maccien most Stay at Chelsea... We need all the help we need, and we should be playing in the Carling Cup as a Regular. We need to give oportunited to the other player. BlueLion. 21,491
it should be boswinga ----- terry ----- mancienne ------ a.cole No way on earth is Mancienne as good as Alex or Ivanovic.
Term-X 7,891
^ this is why man-u,milan, barca etc develop the biggest prospects in football and we dont because instead of giving young players a chance we dont want to take the risk of actually putting them in the first team. diskoviolente 425
I think he can start in the Carling Cup and the FA Cup but for a day-in day-out basis he is too unexperienced i think and we can´t afford too much lost games, thats why in the league and CL Alex is the defender alongside JT
