Alee. 182
When you take of Drogba and Lampard, Theres no one left to lead the attack properly.
BlueLion. 21,491
Exactly. Bad tactics by Hiddink there. Predicition League's been updated. http://www.talkchelsea.net/forum/index.php...;st=0#entry1414

bombayblue™ 55
Nothing beats filling liverpool up with hope and then bring it all crashing down.. Hiddink and more importantly players realise we just can't afford to have this happen again...
kbchel 2
lamps and drog should be taken off!!!! we had a big match mid week remember?
Ollie 4,400
Bad tactics from hiddink lol, not really, it was 4-0. If you can't take players off at 4-0 you never can lol. Tbh you have pretty much summed it all up, i almost had a panic attack when that ball was bouncing around in the area in the last 10 seconds from the corner. My confidence for Tuesday had dramatically dropped thanks to that shambolic defending in the last 20 mins. P.S Newcastle are going down.
BlueLion. 21,491
Match report - http://www.talkchelsea.net/forum/index.php...st=0#entry65434 PERSONALLY I think its good the mistakes have happened today, and not on Tuesday. This will make it certain that the Blues will work on defending in training in midweek. BUT a win's a win. Credit to Bolton though.
diskoviolente 425
Okay, lets put things into perspective : We all know how important Lampard is for the whole Chelsea game, and Drogba as well. We were leading 4:0, took both off, our heart-on-the-field, and conceded, ´cause Bolton saw a glimpse, right ! No question, 3 goals in 11 minutes, awfull . But we´ve had Essien rested, as so Lamps and Drogba for tuesdays game. I am not afraid of liverpool afterall, because we will have a very different side than with Essien in the squad and Alex fit as well. So, we got three points, a thrilling game past us and a thrilling one ahead of us. No question, Rafa now tries to tell his idiots now how to score goals, but that doesn´t mean we will rest Essien, Lamps and Drogba, right ? Ballack put himself on the scoresheet which is good as well. So, no need to piss in the trousers we´ve made our mistakes today and now are prepared for tuesday. chrismada9 1,948
I agree with diskoviolente Essien didn't play in this game, and he was one of our stars at Anfield, so whatever is said about the Liverpool game on Tuesday is bullshit
Elliott 7
Diskoviolente has put things into perspective but it is still disappointing to have squandered an impressive 4-0 lead to a close 4-3. It worries me that Cech was poor, and lacking in confidence, it worries me for Tuesday. It all depends how the players react to this. Badly and we get thrashed and dumped out, react well, and Liverpool will get mullered on the counter. Player ratings: Cech: 4 Ivanovic: 7 A. Cole: 6 Terry: 7 Carvalho: 6 Mikel: 5 Ballack: 7 Lampard: 8 Malouda: 6 Kalou: 6 Drogba: 8 Subs: Anelka: 5 Deco:
Shane 2,275
When you look at it, Lampard, Drogba and Essien have been our best players for the last while. Lampard and Drogba got taken off, With Essien injured. Pair that with some bad goalkeeping by Cech and they score 3 goals. IMO, Liverpool will see the long ball as a problem, Hiddink will have it fixed by Tuesday so Liverpool will waste possesion in the first half until at HT they can think up of a new gameplan, 45 Minutes isn't enough to score 3 goals so its that 20 minutes that guarenteed our Semi Final place IMO. BlueLion. 21,491
I really think we missed Alex today, personally. His strength, height and power would have bene perfect to counter Kevin Davies, who was absolutely brilliant for Bolton. 3 assists today for the big striker. Always has a good game at the Bridge. Joe Cool 388
Exactly. Bad tactics by Hiddink there. How often, as a manager, do you just take off two players when you are four goals up and replace them with players who can be just as effective and expect to concede three goals? No blame lies with Hiddink, just with the players in my opinion.

Manson17 0
Heh. The only game being broadcast at the time was the Manure game. so my dad and I watched that. During the game, it comes up with live scores, we see Chelsea get to 4-0, we're very happy and wish we could watch it... then we see Bolton score, ok ok, thats not too bad. They score again, still everything is ok. then they score a third and we're shitting ourself and wondering what the hell happened to concede 3 goals in 10 or whatever it was minutes... sure you can come up with excuses like, Essien wasnt playing, Lampard and Drogba got taken off. but there is NO excuse to be 4-0 up and allow the other team to score 3 goals and almost catch up, no excuse at all. No matter of the team. Who ever was playing, be it younger players or some who havent played for a while, they should NOT concede 3 goals in 10+ minutes. But, 3 points is 3 points. Chelsea should just have a good look at what happened and what went wrong.
chrismada9 1,948
You know, this really scares me for the Liverpool Game: * Cech having a bad last 20 minutes * very sloppy defending * 3 coals conceded in the space of 10 minutes * No John Terry Liverpool are going to have a field day!
