SystemBlueBob 0
http://thechelseablog.org/2009/04/24/real-...er-Chelsea-man/ Chelsea defender Michael Mancienne has featured a bit more for us this season and duly caught the eye of other Premier League clubs. However, despite Chelsea making it clear heโs going nowhere, that apparently hasnโt stopped Real Madrid keeping an eye on him. Rumour has it the Spanish club are considering trying to tempt him away from Stamford Bridge in the summer although hopefully will be sent packing in the same way other interested parties already have been. Mancienne might get a chance to play against Barcelona next week โ albeit at left-back โ with Ashley Cole suspended for our Champions League. And the suggestion is that Real will have their spies out again if Mancienne starts that game, even if itโs a case of they can look but not touch right now. chrismada9 1,948
MICHAEL MANCIENNE has emerged as a shock target for Real Madrid. The Spanish giants are keeping tabs on Chelseaโs blossoming England defender and hope to cash in on his frustration at Stamford Bridge. He has played only two games in the Premier League since being hauled back from a loan spell with Wolves. A Madrid move for Mancienne could be triggered in June following their presidential elections. Ex-sporting director Jorge Valdano is tipped to rejoin the club if Florentino Perez is re-elected on June 14 โ and Valdano is a huge Mancienne admirer. He has already sent scouts to check on the youngsterโs progress. ------------------------------- http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...icle2395437.ece -------------------------------

BlueLion. 21,491
Reckon he'll go to Wolves, if anywhere. Hopefully a season-long loan can be agreed; would be perfect for us to see what he can do at the Premier League level.

5354 204
Real Madrid is only interested because they can sign him for free and then get a handsome transfer fee.

the wes 7,212
Everton boss David Moyes is keen to strike terms over a loan deal for Chelsea defender Michael Mancienne. The Mirror says Moyes sees Mancienne, 21, who is highly rated by Fabio Capello, as a replacement for injured Phil Jagielka and talks have already begun over a move. EskWeston 696
Mancienne will be very much part of our first team plans next season, and rightly so.
Term-X 7,891
Mancienne will be very much part of our first team plans next season, and rightly so. i doubt that. Carvalho & ivanovic are gonna be stopping his development here with Alex & Terry in the first
EskWeston 696
i doubt that. Carvalho & ivanovic are gonna be stopping his development here with Alex & Terry in the first 11 I disagree, firstly, the club are very keen on getting the English quota of the club higher because of the possible FIFA ruling and also the UEFA homegrown rule. Mancienne is extremely highly thought of and now is the time for him to be a first team player. Secondly i would find it unlikely that Carvalho, Alex and Ivanovic will all be here next season. They will all feel that they should be first team starter and not be willing to be second best. Alex has seemingly cemented his spot as partner to JT. I think it most likely that Carvalho will leave this summer.
Term-X 7,891
imo Carvalho's still one of the best defenders in europe all depends on the new manager

the wes 7,212
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club have been linked with a shock bid for Michael Mancienne. The England Under-21 international has emerged as a real talent this season, due largely to a successful loan spell with Championship winners Wolverhampton Wanderers. Mancienne was even called up to Fabio Capelloโs squad earlier in the campaign, and he is being tipped as a certain star of the future for Chelsea. However, The People claim Harry Redknapp is set to make a shock move for the 21-year-old, who also impressed during a previous loan stint at Queens Park Rangers. EskWeston 696
We really have to keep hold of Mancienne, he is quality player who now needs to step up to our first team permanantly. As i have said in various threads it is becomming more and more imperitive that we have homegrown and English players in our squad. We have already seen that Mancienne is already more than capable of playing in our team and we need to be keeping him with us.
