Favorite is always the best team in my book, and that is France. It's no guarantee of a win evidently, esp in single elimination comps.
England has the elite players, but I'm not sure the team will not end up with a few gaps (not everything is the manager's fault BTW).
Germany and Spain IMO are second tier, but could click and become stronger along the comp. Portugal is 3rd tier for me; I know harsh, but while I think they have a good team with a lot of good players, they lack having the truly Elite players in abundance like France does; they also lack on the physical aspect of the game like we saw in the last World Cup.
Any lesser team playing Portugal knows exactly what to do: play physical and get the ball in the air, which is what Morocco did.

Belgium, Netherlands, and Italy (has been the case for a while -- since last Euros) do not have the depth for this.
All guesswork 😅

Croatia has a lot of talent but do not seem to have clear tactical direction from their coach. It is like they are all out there and just waiting for individual brilliance to happen from a very generic possession.
