To elaborate a bit, it's much easier if you and the football are standing still, but that that was not the case at all; Kai was sprinting and then slowed down just before striking the football, which was also moving. It's very easy to overhit like he did.

He had the opportunity to attempt a number of different finishes and chose the hardest one. 🤷‍♂️ Suppose that's Kai in a nutshell.
