I though all of the 5 in the middle were excellent today, hazard by far the MOTM, but the points were dropped in defense. That last goal is just embarrassing Sooo lazy from both Iva and Luiz. If I were the manager, I'd be giving them a piece of my mind now.

There is still no excuse for the lax defending shown by Ivanovic and the rest. Even when a team setup to defend, each player would have a responsibility to carry as well as a team together and clearly the 3 players surrounding Sturridge did not nothing for his cross to an unmarked Suarez, who was let go by Ivanovic. It was a simple basic defending and yet we have failed it so miserably.

I also expected better from Luiz, Iva, and Cech (especially), but that was a perfect cross and there lied the problem: crosses kept on coming during the entire match and eventually they found the strikers, first Daniel and then Suarez. Bertrand too just did not close Daniel down quick enough. Mata and Hazard are not good defending, and considering how useless Torres is, we just lack the numbers to defend well. Ramires also wasn't able to repeat his great first-half performance.

Mikel once again was pretty mediocre protecting the defense.
